About

You steer the cat. The frog copies every move backwards. Get them into the same square and the cat eats. Swipe, and the cat slides until a wall or the board edge stops it. The frog slides the opposite way at the same moment. Push one closer and the other backs off, so you can't simply walk them together. Walls are the way through: park one piece against an obstacle, keep the other moving, and close the gap a square at a time. PITS From level 6 the ground opens up. A pit doesn't block a slide, it swallows whatever runs onto it, and the level ends right there. A route that looks fine on paper can still drop you. 20 BOARDS, FIRST BITE TO GRANDMASTER Difficulty climbs one step at a time, and the last few are mean. Every board has been run through a solver, so each one has at least one line that wins without either piece falling in. Being stuck is never a dead end. Each board shows par, the fewest moves it can be done in, and keeps your best. Winning is one thing. Matching par is another. STUCK Tap hint and it gives you the next best move from where you are now, not from the start, so it still helps in a position you've half ruined. NO TIMERS, NO LIVES Nothing counts down and nothing runs out. Think as long as you like. Works offline, so it doesn't care about your signal. One hand, portrait, with haptics that land when a piece stops. Free, with a one-time Remove Ads purchase if you want it. Hints stay optional either way. One rule, twenty boards, and a cat that still can't reach the frog.

What's New in Cross Cat

1.3

August 3, 2026

The walls grew gardens. Every obstacle on the board is now a planted bed — leafy bushes, ferns, clover, lavender, poppies, daisies, the odd row of carrot seedlings — and each level plants its own, laid out the same way every time you come back to it. Pits got dug properly this time. The hole now sits dead center on its square and is drawn by the same hand as everything around it. Hints show both halves of the move now: one arrow on the cat, one on the frog pointing the other way. Bigger, too, so you can actually see them.
