The Forgery: Art Quiz Game

Some of these paintings are genuine. Others are forgeries: a detail added, moved or removed. Your job is to spot the fakes. HOW IT WORKS Each room of the gallery holds a set of famous paintings. Look at each one, then press Genuine or Forgery. The label tells you if you were right, and for a forgery you can switch to the original painting to see exactly what was changed. LOOK CLOSER Pinch or double-tap to zoom. Touch and hold to use the magnifier. Turn your phone sideways to see wide paintings at full size. LEARN AS YOU PLAY Every painting comes with a museum label: the artist, the date and the story behind the work. ROOMS Start with Faces You Know, a room of well-known portraits, then explore the other rooms of the gallery. New rooms are added over time. KEEP SCORE Finish a room to earn up to three wax seals. My Stats keeps your accuracy, your longest run of correct answers and your result for each room. No account needed. Your progress stays on your device.
