Easy to use and very consistent and reliable app. Love it.
Not USA clues
Nice features but I don’t think the puzzles were American made. I have found many clues don’t make sense to American english.
Awkward progression
Good clues but cannot traverse back and forth between Horizontal and Vertical answers.

Good but Annoying
To start I am a novice at crossword puzzles. I like this app as it is easy to check answers and crawl along. In many features it is good for me. But I am only on my second puzzle and I have found a number of clues that are just wrong. Like durable wood, this answer should be Teak. But there answer is Pine? How about a clue of obscured. Their answer is Perdu which has a definition nowhere close to obscure, Annoying.

Difficulty level
If you do the New York Times app these puzzles are Monday level. Fun but easy. I did however only start one of the puzzles… Maybe some of the other puzzle packs are more difficult.
Not bad
Purchased the packs (540 puzzles). Not bad overall. Too much British influence in clues and answers. Many repetitive words (don’t know how much more ova, era, and err I can take).

Just the right level of difficulty to be enjoyable.
Vague clues
Clues are vague and some of them are of non English origin.

Hello Pcole, sorry to hear you were disappointed. The clues were set by a Canadian lady, so they are of 'English' origin. However, if you tell us the vague clues (via the in-app Feedback option) we'll certainly review and improve them. Thanks very much.
Great to pass the time
I used to have an Android phone and this was my favorite crossword puzzle app. I’m glad it is on the App Store too. Aesthetically it is also better too. Only problem is that completed puzzles don’t seem to register as completed. Backup also crashes the app.
Challenging
The 2 points I applaud are:
1. I almost always learn a word new to me in one of these puzzles.
2. It is possible to check a letter or a word for accuracy.

Great format - more Packs please
I really like this format. Excellent for my iPad. But I’m running out of puzzles and bought the only pack I could find.
Can we have another pack or two please?

Greet for short stints of downtime. No need for connection. Can be played in airplane mode.

Great Puzzles
Great puzzles but what they don’t tell you is that after you play 3 games you have to pay to play any more. If you like doing puzzles these are good. Worth the $2.99 to get. So far it hasn’t frozen or shutdown on me and NO ads!!!

Thank you for your latest update that corrected my iPad issue. This is a very nice app and I highly recommend it.
Crossword
Pretty decent crossword, there’s plenty of different puzzles and once all of the puzzles have been completed all you have to do is clear each puzzle. When you open the crossword after all of the puzzles have been deleted, the puzzles get reloaded with new hints and answers.
I’ve had the app for well over a year and have reloaded a couple of times and very few hints are the same as the previous puzzles.
