It’s a great game, if only it would not disappear from the app. The screen just goes blank. If you uninstall it, then reinstall it, it will return, but it will go blank again. It’s junk. Don’t waste your time.

I love these puzzles! Some of them are pretty tough, and I have to ask the Internet, but then I do my best to remember and voilà… I’ve learned something new!
Here’s a quick tip for those of you who have finished them and want to start again. Just uninstall then reinstall the app. When it prompts you to buy puzzles, click already purchased and you can restore them, blank and ready to go again.

Challenging, but great layout!
I love that I can see the clues and the puzzle at the same time and the size is easy to read. The clues are challenging, but not impossible. I don’t consider it cheating to use the internet and a few hints!! Hours of enjoyment for the price.

Just right in difficulty for me. Love the literary sensibility of the quotes. The “letter” hints are a big help.
Really Good Puzzles
Nice layout and nicely challenging. Welcome spread from easier to harder. Well worth the $.99. Only real disappointment is that the explanation of the source of the quote is often minimal, sometimes not even mentioning the book!
Too hard!
Clues are way too hard, even for easiest sample puzzles!! Bummer because I really like the app’s layout and design!

Very nice game. The one small change it needs is to stop the words on the grid from wrapping.
Great puzzles!
My only problem with this app is that I ran out of puzzles months ago, and they only added more very recently. For some reason, I couldn't buy the new puzzles on my old downloaded version even though I updated it, so I had to download another copy. Since it's free, that's not a big problem. Anyway, I have loved doing crostics for many years, and was very pleased to find an app for them. It works fine on my rather old iPad.

Problem fixed
After a lot of trying to update and failed updates it is now working.

I used to do the quote puzzle in the Chicago Sunday magazine. That was discontinued long ago...it's great to find these kinds of puzzles again!

These puzzles are somewhat like crossword puzzles but more fun, interesting, and entertaining
They're challenging, fun, educational, and so rewarding when you solve. The quotes are interesting, and my problem solving skills run wild trying to find answers to the clues to crack the quote.
The available hints keep me sane when the going gets rough. I just hope the puzzles will never come to an end.

I've always enjoyed this type of puzzle . They are so clever and challenging.
Frustrating
I love the puzzles. They're well chosen quotes from a wide range of literature. I love it when I solve one. I just wish I could access them when I want to. When I open the app, in only about 30% of instances does it open successfully to a crostic. The rest of the time it crashes.
Fix this problem and my rating goes to 5 stars.

Unfinished ergo frustrating
This game is unfinished. Layout is horrible. Punctuation missing within quote. The idea is to challenge ones use of the English language, not teach a new way to use it.

I love this app! Nice twist on standard crosswords, well designed with clever puzzles. Keep them coming!

Nicely presented, but as the compilers are American, some of the quotes are unknown to me, as are some of the words. Please can we have some UK compilers (no offence intended). Would be 4 stars otherwise.
