Crowded Barrel B-Roll

Crowded Barrel B-Roll is an internal tool for the staff of Crowded Barrel Whiskey, a distillery in Austin, Texas. It is not a general-purpose app and is distributed unlisted for employee use only. CAPTURE FOOTAGE WITHOUT THE PAPERWORK Good behind-the-scenes footage is usually lost because logging it is tedious. B-Roll removes that step. Pick your name, choose a clip from your library or record a new one, then say out loud what the footage shows and a few tags to file it under. That is the whole job. Your spoken notes are transcribed automatically, tidied into editor-ready notes, and filed alongside the clip. Nothing has to be typed on a phone while standing in a distillery. BUILT FOR THE FLOOR - Large 4K clips are shrunk on your device before upload, so a long take does not mean a long wait. - The screen is held awake for the whole transfer — no more uploads killed by auto-lock. - Clips go straight to the company's shared drive rather than through an intermediate server, which keeps big files fast and reliable. - Progress is visible at every stage, so you know whether it is optimizing, uploading, or finishing. THE EDITOR GETS IT IMMEDIATELY Every upload lands in the team's channel with the clip, your notes, the tags, and a playable preview. The editor can send feedback straight back to you, so a note about framing or lighting reaches the person who shot it while they are still on site. SCHEDULE THE NEXT SHOOT The second tab books a film shoot: pick the show, the date and time, how long it will run, and who is filming. Everyone on the crew gets a calendar invite automatically, and cancelling in the app notifies them and clears the event. NO ACCOUNTS, NO SIGN-IN There is nothing to log into.
