Too many ad’s

The ad’s have become a punishment, miss a third letter and you have to watch an ad. Want an extra advantage? You must waste time watching an ad. The fact that many ad’s have a “not interested” check box is a total waste of time, because the same ad keeps showing up, no matter how many times I check “not interested”. Great game, don’t get me wrong, but the ad’s have become a huge problem.

And, yes I do understand the ad’s are how the folks who produce this app make money, but the more I am bombarded with the same stupid ad that I have already indicated I am not interested in, the less likely I am to ever purchase from it.

La peor app

Para hacer una lección gastas como 3 días porque cada 5 segundos , aparece una propaganda🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮😡😡😡

ADS!!!

A fun and challenging game, but you must watch ads to start a puzzle, and then randomly as you’re playing, ads pop up during your game and throw off your concentration. Very frustrating!

Nice but SO MANY ads

Like I said in the title it’s a good game overall that challenges you to solve its puzzles but I swear it’s an ad every 4 minutes. Ridiculous.

Solution to the Inappropriate puzzle

FINAL UPDATE (August 28, 2026)

I sent another email on Aug 12th to support asking for help with Level 607. They responded that same day, but I didn’t find their message until today. A huge THANK YOU to whoever “Nana” is on their team because they replied with a really kind apology and directions to enter a personal Promo Code that automatically moved my progress to Level 608.

It’s a huge relief to finally be able to participate in more than the daily puzzles!

Update (March 27, 2026):

I’ve given up on trying to get help with the inappropriate puzzle Level 607. I’ve attempted to start multiple in-app chats and sent emails. Their responses were sporadic at best, but since they removed the in-app chat, the last email communication I received from them was on December 10, 2025 saying, “You’re in good hands and we’ll do our best to make things right.”

I’m about to run their most recent app update, so maybe something has finally been done. I doubt it.

I’ve tried getting a resolution to this via support in the app settings with no response. I came across a puzzle that is completely inappropriate (names an erotic peep show) for an app that doesn’t have a mature rating. I accessed it through the button underneath the brain IQ/game summary animation. I refuse to finish the puzzle and now apparently I’m stuck with it. I don’t want to know the name of it. Just knowing that it exists makes me ill, and this game is the only reason why I know it exists. There isn’t currently a way to skip a puzzle that I’m aware of. That was part of the messages I sent to support, but I haven’t gotten a response after first contacting them on May 24, 2025 (today is June 5, 2025).

If the only way to clear the puzzle without solving it is by deleting the app and then downloading it again, there is still a chance that I’ll get that same puzzle again. So really, at this point, my only option is to just delete it unless I can be given some direction by support.

Languages not available

Languages not available and TOO MANY ads. I can play with some ads but this game will force an ad in the middle of the puzzle.

Ugh- Will Likely Delete

WAY too many ads. Penalizing me with an ad during gameplay as a "word break" is useless, and breaks concentration. I'm ok with ads for premiums, lives, mistakes, etc., but when I'm clipping along great? Nope! Also, making me watch an ad after successfully completing a level just for it to register? Extortion.

Will look for a more user-friendly game similar.

Ads ruin the game

Great game! I really enjoy it however the ads take up so much time to load or to even exit them out. I feel like I spend more waiting for the ad to pass than actually playing the game. Such a shame because this game is really fun.

Battery gets warm

I love the game and wish I could play it longer. My phone battery gets hot after doing a few puzzles. Can you please change whatever makes this game work the battery so much? Thanks

Challenging and fun!!

Completely ruined the special games

I’ve loved this app for a long time and paid for the ad-free version because the core gameplay was incredible. But this recent update to the special games is genuinely infuriating.
Replacing standard logic solving with this absurd card-deck mechanic was a massive mistake. Instead of letting you use your brain to solve the puzzle, you're forced to sit there endlessly sifting through a stack of letters. Even when I already know what the word is, I can't just type it in. I have to draw cards and wait until the game decides to hand me an "E."
It strips away all the fun and replaces it with pure artificial friction. It’s annoying, it wastes my time, and it completely ruins what used to be my favorite part of the game. Revert this change!

I like this game BUT

The amount of ads are unbelievable. Not only at the end of each level but 4 to 5 during the gameplay. As soon as you get on a roll, up pops another ad. Too bad to tolerate so goodbye game. Very sad to have to delete this 😢

Ads are the worst!

Has the longest ads I’ve ever experienced!!! They’re typically 3-4 screen ads and my screen falls asleep during the ad often which tells you how long they are. And the ads shown when you want to revive yourself are even longer! Cryptograms and challenges are fun but the ads suck and instructions are minimal so I have no idea how hearts work/how to earn them and the difference between revive vs restart. Will look for a diff app with shorter ads.

Too many adds

Cryptogram started off pretty well, and I enjoyed it for the first few levels. Unfortunately, after that, the number of ads became excessive. It got to the point where I couldn’t simply pick up my phone and play a quick round—I had to sit through an extensive ad almost every time.

I understand that ads are part of free games, but when they interfere this much with the actual gameplay, it takes away the enjoyment. Ultimately, I decided to delete the game from my phone.

Don't pay for no ads

Whatever you do, don't spend the money to get no ads. I did, and got slammed with ads still. The $5 did nothing.

I want a refund.

Over the ads

Too many ads that are too long. It consumes way too much data and battery life watching those ads and for zero benefit. Deleted……

Completely sacrificing user experience for ad revenue

I don’t write many reviews, and I always read through reviews before downloading an app. I was fully aware that people complained about the number of ads in this game, but after downloading it myself, it became very clear that those reviews were not exaggerating.

I completely understand that developers need advertising revenue to fund and support a free app. There’s nothing wrong with ads in moderation. But there has to be a limit, and this game goes so far beyond that limit that it genuinely ruins what would otherwise be a fun experience.

Open the app? Ad.

Click play? Ad.

Start playing? Ad

Taking too long in the game? Ad.

Win? Ad.

Lose? Ad.

Next level? You guessed it… another Ad.

At some point, I stopped feeling like I was playing a game with ads and started feeling like I was watching ads with a game occasionally interrupting them.

The unfortunate part is that I actually enjoy the game. I would have continued playing it and even would of paid the $4.99 for the ad free experience, but I’m having serious doubts that it will actually be “ad free” considering how much you already get. Because of that I am deciding to discontinue playing the game since I cannot enjoy it enough to want to buy it.

Developers absolutely deserve to make money from their work, but there’s a difference between monetizing a game and completely sacrificing the user experience for ad revenue. This feels like the latter, and it’s disappointing to see a genuinely enjoyable game buried underneath such aggressive monetization.

Love the challenge

Back to school not working properly

Working on chapter 2 of the back to school series and it seems to be frozen. Have closed out and re-started and also, updated but still stuck. Otherwise really enjoying the game!

Ads drove me away

Loved the game play but the ever increasing number of ads made the game unplayable. Felt like ads started popping up every 5 seconds
