Doesn’t actually Keep Track of Exact Height
I climb for a living (cell tower technician), I downloaded the app at the top of the tower. Said my altitude was 207. I climbed down the 100+ foot tower to see if it could show me the height difference. I was 204 once I reached the ground. Pretty useless for precision. Great tool to feel cool when you leave your home and go somewhere new, but it has no idea what your altitude is. It just checks your coordinates on a map.

I’m using this altimeter to find a couple hundred elevations on a five acre building lot. It has enough accuracy to get a real good set of elevation points for a drainage map. I like the quick reaction to changes in elevation. It’s better than two other elevation apps I tried.
