App is broken and does not function at all
For over a year, this grill was fantastic and the app worked exactly as it should. But about three to four weeks ago, the app has become absolutely broken and they are not able to fix it.Now I cannot do anything from my app, which means:
1. I cannot set the temperature on each side.
2. I cannot set the probe temperature.
3. I do not receive notifications.
All software functioning is broken.
So now it has become a dumb electric grill. If this is not fixed soon, I will be throwing this grill away and purchasing a new grill.

Excellent Grill
Performance is on par with expectations. The app monitor is quite handy. Very happy so far!
Impressed
From the packaging, to the assembly, support and functionality, I am so impressed. Love being able to monitor the temp without having to go out in the heat. Love
Firmware
Consistently fails to download firmware updates. Customer service was able to update the firmware remotely. Very good service. Call if you have this problem.
Unacceptable data collection
I admit I never tried the app. It could offer outstanding features. But I took the time to read the privacy policy and data collection information, sharing information to others, and it’s just not acceptable. There is no reason what so ever my name, personal info, birthdate, when I am using the grill, how I’m using it, the temperatures I’m using, if I’m using food probes, etc. should be collected. I was thoroughly disappointed with just how much data is being collected and shared. I should be able to opt out of all data collection and not have the app constantly spying on me. What a major let down. So for now I’ll use the grill as a standalone grill.

Ap not working on iPhone 14 pro max
It was with high hopes that I have this grill, but the ap isn’t working and CBY has not been able to solve the problem. Their communications when you have a problem is sporadic and they do not keep you informed of status. This is so disappointing.
Spotty connectivity
The app only connects to the grill ~ 50% of the time. And yes:
1. The phone is on the same WiFi as the grill
2. Bluetooth is turned on
3. The grill is connected to my WiFi (eero app shows me the connection)
4. No long distance or other obstructions.
Until the app works with any amount of consistency, I'll consider it garbage. How in 2024 does an app not work seamlessly? SMH

Current Griddle
I have the Current Griddle & this unit is very impressive and is ideal for backyard or small patio use. I really have enjoyed being able to turn on my griddle and set the temperature through my phone app and am then able to keep updated when it has reached the desired temperature and can set timers through the app as I cook. The app has a clean layout and is very easy to connect to my griddle and begin cooking.

Old dog learns new tricks
I’ve been a pitmaster for 17 years and the Current griddle has been a welcome addition to my arsenal. The app is easy to use and helps keep track of my temps. The recipes are great and easy to follow. I would highly suggest you use this app when using the griddle, it helps tremendously.
Current backyard app
Such a convenient app, make initial startup a breeze. Worth the investment on a great product and app interface.
Really close to great
Once everything is set up, this almost feels like cheating. You know the temperature of your grill and the meat. It’s too easy. Unfortunately for some reason I have to set up the Bluetooth and WiFi settings every time I use the grill, so it’s almost not worth it.
Easy App for your Grill
Love the alerts when the temp is ready or timer is done. Remember to use Auto Clean after every cook - it’s a great feature!
Loving this grill
Used the Current grill this past Easter Sunday and not only was using it a blast, but it was totally a breeze as well. This app is very intuitive and enabled me to seamlessly control my cook with ease!

It has been so convenient being able to monitor the app inside while out steaks cook outside! The integrated temperature probe is so easy and convenient. This way we are able to host, keep an eye on the kids and cook an excellent steak!

This dual-zone electric grill app takes grilling to the next level! I love being able to control and track the temperature of my grill through this app! Takes the guesswork out of grilling
Pairing this app with the Current electric grill makes setting and controlling grilling temperatures so easy. Definitely eliminated any guesswork on if the grill was the right temp and made our food turn out perfectly. The temp probes even allow you to check on and monitor the cooking process from inside the house and the app even guides you through cooking time and temperatures for just about everything you would want to grill. Very easy to use and I love the recipes tab and you hit start and it tells you exactly what to do!! So helpful!!! Love how easy it is to grill — and this is coming from someone who has no experience grilling. Cool features in this app!
