Cursed Fables: Before The Clock Strikes by LyxnMinx

This game was a twisted take on the story of Cinderella. Who would ever think Cinderella and the prince would be gold diggers and the stepmother would be kind and caring? The graphics were gorgeous, the gameplay was addictive, and the inventory usage was novel. Expect magical occurrences when applying inventory items. There was a plethora of magnificent tasks to accomplish. The game was a decent length.
Unfortunately, the game had some very negative aspects. I had to skip a mini-game which did not work properly at the end of the second chapter. It was impossible to place the circles correctly because they automatically went into the incorrect circle. Then when I finished a mini- game perfectly in the bonus adventure, it was not recognized as correct. The text was tiny and difficult to read in certain areas. You could not enlarge the screen during the HO scenes. Elephant kept putting exclamation points when there was no available action at the specified location. I have told them time and time again not to put a map mark unless there is something to do right at that moment. Otherwise you have to search every location with an exclamation point to figure out what to accomplish next. They don’t listen and correct their mistakes. For these reasons, I must deduct a couple of stars. Remember, too, that there was a fatal error in the bonus chapter, but it was repaired. Still, there should never be a fatal error at all! So my rating will be three stars for a game that should have gotten a higher rating. It’s very unfortunate because the graphics were fabulous and the general gameplay was wonderful.

Tedious

Overall this game was one which I just wanted to get over. I found it tedious, touch was terrible, and many of the puzzles simply did not work.

Glitchy here and there

Graphics are nice. It’s difficult to know where to tap, so I tap everywhere. Some of the hidden objects are incredibly tiny—and I’m playing on a 10 inch iPad. Some of the mini games made no sense or were too tedious. I very much liked the map to go where I needed to be. Hints appreciated. There is on mini puzzle, 4 tiles to put together. Text was covering up 1/2 the tiles.

Gets stuck

I’m in the regular game and there’s a section where you have to rotate a little wheel to fill in the picture and the arrow buttons to rotate it do not work.

Now that the problem was fixed in the bonus section, no issues with game play. Enjoyed this game throughout. Recommend!

Update reset my entire progress!

I had purchased the full version and was pretty far along in the game and had been enjoying it a great deal, I had no issues.. but after the update to fix some apparent bonus chapter error, the game reset my progress and started me over from the beginning!!! Nothing I did could get me back to where I had been, I restarted the game, it still had my player name, etc. but I had to start over.

I have been an extremely loyal customer for years. I’ve bought almost every single game of yours.. I’ve defended you and stuck by you in your tough times. I’m so frustrated by this, I really don’t like having to repeat games. Please make sure this kind of error doesn’t happen again.

Great until bonus game fatal error

Edit: 3/31 Thanks so much for fixing the box in the bonus game.
Good fun!
The game has been good fun up until box puzzle in bonus game. Touching a disk freezes entire screen. Thought maybe restarting game would let me skip puzzle to progress. Clicking skip made discs disappear and froze screen. Hope you can find the trouble.

Loved this game until the bonus game that others mentioned. Game has been updated but the update made my whole game disappear and took me to the beginning! Anyone else have this happen?

Froze up

Paid for the game and it froze up in middle of puzzle finding pieces with the roses. Not happy.

Patch has caused problem

Updated this game today. I had completed the main game and started the bonus game before this. Once the update was installed it lost my progress and went back to the very beginning as if I have never played it. You need to change the update so this doesn’t happen. Apart from this I love the game, just a bit annoying that all progress has been lost.

I miss the old days

It seems that most games have went in a direction that disappoints me. I can’t name exactly what it is besides saying it feels too much like a dramatic interactive cartoon and not a game. I decided not to purchase this one.
