About
How many boards do you need to buy, and where do you cut each one? Cutly takes your stock length, your saw's kerf and your list of cuts, and lays them out on as few boards as it can — as a labeled cutting diagram PDF you can take to the saw.
Enter the stock length and blade kerf, add each cut with a label, length and quantity, then tap Make Cut Diagram PDF.
• CUT LIST IN, BOARDS OUT — add cuts like "shelf 30 in × 4" or "leg 720 mm × 4". Up to 500 pieces per job.
• KERF ACCOUNTED FOR — the blade width is charged between neighbouring cuts on the same board, so the pieces really fit.
• FEWER BOARDS — pieces are packed longest-first with the First-Fit Decreasing method, a fast, proven way to keep the board count and offcuts low.
• A DIAGRAM FOR EVERY BOARD — each stock board is drawn with its labeled cuts left to right and the leftover waste shaded.
• STOCK SUMMARY — total boards, pieces and yield %, plus used length, waste and cut count for every board.
• INCHES OR MILLIMETERS — work in either unit. Print the PDF, share it or save it to Files.
Honest scope: Cutly is a linear (1D) cut list — boards, battens, trim, pipe, bar or tube cut to length from one stock length per job. It doesn't lay out plywood or sheet goods, handle grain direction or mix different stock lengths. First-Fit Decreasing gives a very good layout quickly, but it isn't guaranteed to be the absolute minimum.
