Endless fun

Interesting fade effect looping

Cool exploration tool

It’s a nice implementation of a Terry Reilly concept. Fun to play. My only wishlist item would be actual numbers on the tempo setting/tap tempo.

Genial

Sehr intuitiv und übersichtlich; ideal um es beispielsweise an ein modulares Synthesizer System anzuschließen und weiter zu bearbeiten 🕺🕺

Export to wav and midi + free !

omg, so good. This is fantastic and def a new source for Textures and pads.

Export midi and wav supported too.

Nice, but… Ableton link ? Bpm ?

It’s beautiful, it sounds nice, but the tempo doesn’t allow to set precise BPM, which is weird. Adding ableton link would change the game. As it is, it’s impossible to use with any synchronized workflow.

FAQ

What does the Cycle app do?

Cycle is a musical system that functions as a time lag accumulator. It repeats the notes you play, causing them to gradually fade into silence. This process allows for the creation of fascinating and evolving sonic textures, suitable for both meditative experiences and ambient music production.

What are the key features of Cycle?

Key features include 12 sound options, a 3-octave MIDI keyboard, Inter-App Audio (IAA) and Audiobus support for integration with other apps, controllable tempo and reverb, a built-in metronome, and 5 color themes. It also allows for easy recording and exporting to WAV and MIDI files.

How much does Cycle cost?

Based on the provided information, Cycle is a paid application. There are no mentions of in-app purchases or advertisements, suggesting a one-time purchase model.

What kind of music can I create with Cycle?

Cycle is particularly well-suited for creating ambient music and meditative soundscapes. Its core functionality of repeating notes that fade naturally lends itself to long, slowly evolving musical ideas, encouraging a slower and more attentive listening approach.

Can I use recordings from Cycle in other music software?

Yes, Cycle allows you to easily record your musical creations and export them as WAV and MIDI files. These exported files can then be transferred to your computer and used directly in your favorite Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) for further production.
