Amazing for campaigns and dungeons
Great app!
I love being able to make so many different characters and being able to read the books in one place. Also being able to run a campaign where we can see each other’s rolls are pretty good also. Just a great app to have for Dungeon and Dragon.
Great App, too pushy with sales
I like the app as a companion to my tabletop games. I use books, pen & paper, and physical dice.
I can’t access content in the app from a book that I purchased new, so I can’t use the app to track my character’s abilities and resources accurately.
It’s great for referencing rules & spells, but as my campaigns level up, it gets less useful if I don’t spend money.
I wouldn’t mind so much if I had the ability to use material from books I bought, but I don’t want to pay for things twice.
I’m using it less now: just looking spells & conditions I need to reference online, and I don’t miss it much.

App won’t update
Was still running a version from original install in 2025. There seems no way to download the newest version and was confused where to communicate or contact technical support through the App Support section. Tried to delete and reinstall and nothing changed. After putting forth a query through Apple they contacted me promptly with more details and help. Unfortunately it was just a redirect to the website which I had already tried with no luck as to how to send a message or open a ticket to get help for why bug fixes and updates are getting installed.

Dnd is good
Excellent resource
Nearly required for playing DnD if you ever use electronics. Vitual tabletop has improved in recently in the master tier subscription. Helps me to be able to play with family from 3 time zones away.
No Marketplace
The app is generally great. It’s my main use when I’m playing. But not having dedicated access to the marketplace except through character creation is really a bummer. I shouldn’t have to use the mobile site in my mobile browser when there is a mobile app that should do the same thing. Also, backing out of marketplace once you access it stops the character creation process. That’s a real pain.
