A relief from Apple Music spam
I was looking for a player that would not push Apple’s latest garbage on me each time I tried to listen to music. Apple Music made me click 4 times to get to my music. This player solves that problem; it has a really clean interface.

Better Frontend than Apple Music
I’ve been using Apple Music since it was called iTunes, and that was approximately the last era in which Apple gave it some real love and care. Daft Music brings back that level of attention to detail in the music listening experience!
Honestly the only thing I’d change is improving two-way sync between libraries. But that’s minor compared to the improved search capability, responsiveness, and better quality home screen vs Apple Music.

Beautiful Interface, Lacking Features
For casual listening this beats the base music app every day, but for specific use cases likefull screen artwork or a miniplayer, or the more advanced AI features Apple Music remains on my dock next to Daft

Die App wirkt sehr aufgeräumt und klar strukturiert. Klar, man könnte jetzt sagen, sie spielt doch nur Musik und das kann ja die offizielle Apple Music App auch. Doch hier kommt der Unterschied: Diese App wird mit viel Liebe zum Detail stetig und in kurzen Iterationen weiterentwickelt.
Und dadurch freut man sich immer durch den Changelog zu scrollen. Der Entwickler antwortet auch sehr schnell auf Feedback. Daher hat diese App auf jeden Fall die 5 Sterne verdient und ich spreche die volle Empfehlung aus.

Very good music app!
With its clean and thoughtful design, this has completely replaced the Apple Music app for me. The integrated radio station streaming is also great; it’s nice being able to switch between live radio and Apple Music streaming throughout the day. Well done.
Exemplary liquid glass design
macOS 26 has had a pretty rocky start: the liquid glass design language is, at best, divisive, and seems like a regression for many of Apple’s built-in apps. Daft Music, though, shows how it ought to be done — for the first time, I feel like a developer has really “got it”. As a music player, Daft seems pretty good; as a piece of design, it’s awesome.

Beste Apple Music App
Ich bin mittlerweile ein großer Fan von Daft Music. Die App sieht wunderschön aus, ist sehr schnell und verbraucht kaum Ressourcen. Im Gegensatz zur Apple Music App von Apple gibt es kaum Bugs. Auch die Integration von Last.fm ist toll. Als ehemaliger Spotify-Nutzer freue ich mich total, Daft Music gefunden zu haben.

Like a breath of fresh air
Finally somebody just decided “if Apple wouldn’t rebuild its legacy app, I’ll do it myself.” A very exciting 1.0 app that’s already worth the subscription money, and I’m excited to see what comes next!
