Daily Manifesto

Daily Manifesto is a writing practice with a companion: a tree that grows from your record. You set a goal - a stretch of days, something you want to become true - and you write toward it. Three lines in the morning, six in the afternoon, nine at night. Each day you keep, the tree takes one step of growth. Days you are away show in the crown for a while, and that is the end of it. The app keeps no streak and never mentions a gap. The tree grows again the day you come back. Everything you write stays on your device. There is no server behind the app, so nothing you write can be uploaded or read by anyone, and there is nothing in it that watches how you use your phone. There is no account to make and no sign-in of any kind. The tree is not picked from a set. Each goal is dealt its own seed, and every branch is computed from your own record, so no two trees come out alike. A home screen widget keeps it in view, and a Live Activity holds your place while a writing window is open. The practice is free, at any length, for as long as you like. One optional subscription lets you keep more than one goal growing at the same time, and it begins with a free trial for new subscribers.
