About

You pick up your phone to read and end up scrolling for an hour. Read Bro points that thumb at the classics. Full-length classics as short screens you swipe up. Nothing is summarized or rewritten. A screen is a line of dialogue, a few sentences or a paragraph, sized to read at a glance. It moves like your feed. It reads like Pride and Prejudice, because it is Pride and Prejudice. The words are the book's Nothing is summarized or rewritten. You read the text of each book in its original order, and a translated book in the translator's words. We leave out footnotes, tables of contents and publisher pages, and add only the screen breaks. What you can read More than 300 public-domain classics: Dracula, Frankenstein, The Great Gatsby, Moby Dick, Little Women, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, and Austen, Dickens, Shakespeare and Twain. Novels, short reads, plays, poetry and philosophy. What's in the app - Swipe to read: one screen at a time, from the first chapter to the last - Chapters: see where you are and jump to any chapter - Streaks: read a little each day and watch the count grow - Grace days: miss a day and a grace day covers it, 1 per month - Pause: going away? Pause your streak for up to 14 days - Define: press and hold a word to see what it means - Highlights: save a word, a line or a paragraph, and go back to the exact spot from Library - Share cards: send a passage as an image in 3 styles, with the book and the author on it - Picks that explain themselves: tap the reason on a recommended book to see why it was picked - Reading settings: choose your type size and reading font - Reminders: optional, at the time you choose Start without an account Answer 5 quick questions about what you like and start reading. No sign-up needed. To keep your place, your streak and your highlights when you change phones, create an account with Apple or Google. You can delete your account from Settings at any time. Put the feed down. Pick a book up. Touch grass later.

What's New in Daily Reading Habit

1.1.0

October 17, 2026

A new look, light mode, and a long list of fixes from your feedback. Reading - Long chapters no longer stop partway. Swipe from the first screen to the last. - The first screen of a book arrives whole, not in pieces. - A screen that stops mid-paragraph ends with 3 small dots. - At large type sizes, pages split less often. - Every book ends with "The end", then a finished-book card to share. - A short sound when you finish a book. Turn it off in Settings. Book page - A new Book page: the opening line, the premise, themes and content notes. - About the author: dates, places, a short summary and more of their books. - The chapter count matches the reader. Explore - Author, collection and genre lists show their books, and each book opens. - Search puts the title you typed first. - Quick reads show one story per book, with the reading time under the cover. - A shelf with nothing to read is no longer shown. Look - A new icon and App Store name: Daily Reading Habit - Read Bro. - Your Home Screen still says Read Bro. - Light mode. Follow your iPhone, or pick Dark or Light in Settings. - A typographic cover for every book, in new colors. - A new opening, and small moments for your streak and grace days. Fixes - You stay signed in. A weak connection no longer signs you out. - You can sign in with your email and a 6-digit code. - Offline, your streak, Library and You tab still show what's on your phone. - Back online, the app says so and refreshes. - Covers in "Which of these do you know?" line up, with a clear tick.
