Good content but app is going downhill
UPDATE 09/2026 I received a response from DailyWire saying the ads were a trial and to not worry.
Now 5 months into this “trial”ads are more prevalent and have accidental trigger sensitivity so while scrolling they open a new page. The only change is now they have preference ads for their movie and specials. They also force you to scroll through promoted content before you can find the morning news. Subscription is worth less and less.
Last month (May 2026) DW started including ads in the app for paid members. The adds are both in the main page feed and dispersed through the articles as full screen adds that make them easy to accidentally trigger as you scroll. Why pay if they are still going to spray you with aggressive adds?

SCAM ALERT Once i subscribed and paid I can’t get a refund
I loved Ben Shapiro and daily wire until today. Last week I signed for a year and realized there’s nothing really I’m interested on the website. Today I cancelled and these scammers lock you in for a year and don’t refund you your money even if you never used the service.
I’ll never trust another person again that I think is honest, Ben Shapiro isn’t or he’d never take money from people who don’t want the service. Total scammer

App update improvements
Updated app does resolve the crashing issue when listening to podcasts - thank you!
Good content, garbage app
Every time this app updates I think “hopefully they’ve fixed it so it won’t be such a buggy mess. It can’t possibly get worse.” And I’m always wrong.
What Happened??
I used to be able to close my phone and keep the audio going. Now it cuts out. What gives??
App keeps crashing
As several others have said, app closes out after about a minute of playing video unless the video is kept on the screen.
Also, Car Play is inconsistent. Sometimes I can access it, other times it tells me to log into the app on my phone.

Make this work with Apple Accessibility for visually impaired listeners
The application is not friendly for Accessibility features for Blind and low vision users. The technology team must work to make the system work with screen readers so that the 10 million people with vision impairment can enjoy this content.
The bottom NAV menu when using Apple‘s native voiceover screen reader, simply states the word button giving no indication what type of action is being incurred.
When someone cited assist a visually impaired user to the search screen, voiceover simply states screenshot. That’s all it states and there’s no way to get to the editing line to enter a search element such as “Matt Walsh“.
In late 2026 I would expect developers be keen to the needs of accessible nature for the visually impaired.
Until this is repaired, I will have to rely on the Daily Wire Podcasts.

App now crashes during video/audio playback.
It started about a week ago. The app will crash after about a minute of playing either video or audio when your phone screen is locked. I listen to podcasts while working and lock my screen to save battery. Now I have to leave the screen on or the app will crash.
Great app.

Complete Scam
All good until you decide to cancel. Despite the email confirmation of your cancellation, they continue to charge you at renewal while telling you they can’t refund after renewal. This would be fine if it wasn’t their failure.

It won’t play for more than about a minute without crashing - this does not equate to improved stability as the latest update claims
Newest App Update is Terrible
5 star content, newest update is horrible. Content won’t keep laying if you close out of your phone.
Pay for AI
This ad free experience is actually “limited ads”. What’s that mean? It means ads still, even during live shows. Plus banner ads and ai lists like “top 13 hearing aide brands, number 9 will shock you”. I don’t want to pay for that and you should be ashamed for defending that, daily wire, you rapacious, disingenuous snake oil salesmen
Edit - they say while they include limited ads to “expand their growing news section” that no ads make it into daily podcasts for paid members… then why am i complaining? Obviously they do and last i checked I’m paying.

Completely ruined with EXCESSIVE ads and paywalls.
video and audio player cuts off
Not sure when this started but the audio and video versions of podcasts cut off about 1 min into playing. The entire app crashes - even restarting or picking up from where episode left off and it still crashes. Please fix, this makes the podcasts completely unusable.
Usually great, but it’s stopped working lately
I love the app, but lately it’s been cutting out/restarting every 2-3 minutes. I can’t listen to a podcast for any length of time before it stops and I have to reopen the app and manually start it again. If it’s a bug, I hope it gets fixed soon!
Gotten way better
Appending good! If I may make a suggestion, let Tempe user set a default for playback: audio or video. That way on limited connectivity, we don’t have to buffer again when switching between the 2
Terrible
So far I haven’t been able to watch anything on this app. I watch a lot of downloads. Because I don’t always have internet access. And this app so far hasn’t worked. So I have as of yet wasted my money on daily wire!!!
iPhone 7 Plus
I love the daily wire however I cannot access the app due to it not being useable on iPhone 7 Plus. If it is possible it would be nice to be able to access it on my phone. Thanks!

Great app! DailyWire is a breath of fresh air and sanity in a political climate that is increasingly extreme and maddening to follow. Their writers and hosts bring a calm, rational, evidence based and America loving approach to the news that is all but impossible to find elsewhere these days (on the left or right). Keep it up guys!
