Neat idea but full of bugs

You cant create an sms account. The popup will say slice but the ball will go left or hook and it spins right. Even if there isn’t wind. The app stutters after every shot. The menus are janky. The presser part feels unintuitive. It’s neat but I won’t be playing this again.

Game Is A Blast, BUT…

At its core, the game is a ton of fun and super addicting. Has potential to be one of the best mobile games available.

That said, this game is RIDDLED with bugs in a way that I’ve never see for a mobile game (almost feels like it was released before it was ready). And sadly the bugs have yet to be fixed with the many “bug fix” updates that have been pushed, and most updates actually seem to break the game more than it already was.

For example, the longest running bug in the game right now is the broken scorecard. While the game tracks your actual score correctly, it will never reflect correctly on the scorecard.

On top of that, sometimes the game loses track of which round you’re on during a tournament or resets you entirely. For instance, I’ve played multiple tournaments where I had to play for 6 or 7 rounds just to finish because the game would keep resetting me (and you get penalized for forfeiting).

The most recent game breaking bug comes with the club yardage ranges. Since the beginning of the game, each club has had set yardage ranges so that you know roughly how far you’ll hit with a certain amount of power (for instance, your Hybrid could hit anywhere from 155-194 yards). One of the most recent updates changed all of these yardage amounts for every club, but worse than that the scaling isn’t even accurate (so for instance, a shot that you know without a shadow of a doubt should be traveling roughly 175 yards now comes nowhere close).

Again, love the concept of this game, but grow increasingly more frustrated with the amount of bugs that flood it and ruin the player experience.

Fun game, needs tweaking.

If the goal was to make this game as fun and frustrating as real golf, it succeeded. For one, it’s really hard to understand anything in this game. The loading screen “hints” are more like riddles.

Secondly, you rarely get opportunities to answer questions and no answer you give results in positive results. Either lose fans or “brain power”. Feels impossible to improve or make in-game currency.

I would also add that it’s ridiculous that there are some holes, like the reverse C par five that you literally cannot see the fairway at all.

It would also be fun if there was a free play mode. It’s odd that a game restricts how much you can play.

Great Concept, Needs Work

The game approaches golf games in a much more grounded way. I’m excited to see where it goes. But the game in its current state is very clearly an early work in progress and has some very frustrating quirks. The developer(s?) are responsive and quick to address issues as they are reported.

I have high hopes that this will turn into a mobile game that I will happily play often.

Has Potential

Fun game overall but ran into a bunch of issues. Mainly in the paid TOUR mode. The tournaments are 4 rounds but you play each round twice at 36 holes. So to complete all 4 “rounds” you have to play 144 holes and at the end of the last hole it wouldn’t and still won’t let me “return to menu”. So I can’t actually complete the tournament. I retried playing the last hole multiple times and it was always the same. Also the last hole was different each time. It was always a par 5 but varied in design.

On occasion it would freeze and not allow me to take my shot. The only fix was closing out of the app and restarting it.

You don’t have access to all clubs at all times. I assume it has to do with the lie but there were many times my 3w and 5w were completely missing. They were only selectable on occasion.

The press conference function is cool but also skewed in favor of a negative result. Far too many pressers resulting from negative shots. For example I went 6 under on the first nine with no bogeys but the first hazard I hit on the second nine resulted in a “negative” presser.

Could do away with the automatic instant replays after each shot or make it a selectable option.

The trees can get annoying but the more I played the more I realized they were a challenge and adjusted to hit over them and not just bounce off of them.

Overall, I like the game and it has potential to be a game I play A LOT but these were just the things i found after paying the $4.99 for the tour mode.

Fun but it’s too punishing

It’s a fun golf game but it’s too punishing to the player as you’re not able to practice at all, just 2 holes a day for a tournament.

I think you should be able to reset your shot or lower the backswing after pulling too far back. Putting feels incomplete in green slope variety, power and aiming. Wind feels like it only affects the driver and is a flip of the coin going with or against 20mph.

Good game but weird bug

Does anyone else get that weird little bug when you hit the ball off a tree into a bunker, an error message pops up and displays a picture of you playing the game from outside your window? I lost a stroke because the little x was too small and I accidentally hit the ball. Very annoying

Swing update

The new swing update is actually horrible for game play

Long live daily drive

Before I found Daily Drive, my life was a bleak, soul-crushing abyss. I woke up, stared at the same four walls, and questioned the point of existence. But then, like a lightning bolt from the heavens, Daily Drive entered my life. Suddenly, everything changed. Each swing of my digital golf club wasn’t just a stroke on a screen; it was a metaphor for my rebirth. The calming sound of the ball landing in the hole? That’s the sound of my inner peace settling into place. The perfect birdie? It’s like achieving nirvana in pixelated form. The game’s impact wasn’t limited to just my emotional well-being. No, Daily Drive went on to revolutionize the world. Political leaders began playing it during summits, negotiating trade deals between rounds. Wars? Stopped. They all agreed that a good round of golf is the ultimate unifier. One tap of the ball, and suddenly, there’s a ceasefire. Need to solve world hunger? Just hit a hole-in-one, and voilà—food distribution sorted. Daily Drive didn’t just change my life; it’s the game that brought humanity together. If you’re feeling lost, confused, or just need a solid escape, this game will turn your world around. The peace, the joy, and yes, the birdies—Daily Drive has it all.

Game over-punishes bad shots

The game is really fun overall. My only complaint is that the game recently introduced “club confidence”. I really like the idea overall, but it needs tweaking.

It works like this; you hit good shots, your “confidence” with that club improves, leading to longer distance and better control with said club. Hit the fairway off the teebox with your driver? You may get a 1-2 percent increase to club confidence. You miss the fairway, or worse land in a hazard? You’re looking at possibly a 10% decrease in confidence FOR ONE SHOT.

One hole was particularly tough, I lost 30%. This needs to be adjusted to not be heavily weighted towards punishing you for bad shots, while barely rewarding you for many good shots.

Great fun

I’ve been playing for a little over a month now, it’s been great watching the updates to the game happen in real time. Whether it was a bug that I reported getting fixed, or the new additions like the fans/crowds that are now starting to watch.
Its a super simple once a day game. If you forget to play one day, no worries you’ll just make up the hole the next time you’re around.

Love it! But!

Good game concept but I wish there’s was a way to play more? Maybe create a tour mode or charge a one time fee to play unlimited games.

Great way to golf everyday

This app is a ton of fun! I really like how a new hole is released daily - it’s a nice way to get some golfing in every day. The free tournaments with sponsored prizes is a great addition!

Greatest Game

I’ve had many achievements in life that have come from taking on opportunities that don’t come by too often. A few achievements to name are riding a bike, tying my shoes, getting my drivers permit (license to come soon), and selling pcp to the middle school kids in my neighborhood.

Another one of those achievements has been becoming a multi-major champion in DailyDrive. I’ve worked my tail off to get to where I am today. There have been a lot of long weeks, plenty of regretful shots, and most definitely 2-3 phone screens destroyed. But, all that has made me one of the most prolific golfers to ever play this game.

As nice as it is to hear a feel-good story, there is always disaster on the horizon. I slowly took a break from DailyDrive a few months back. I seemed to have lost myself and my purpose as I was racking up so many major titles. The idea of being at the top while everyone is trying to bring you down haunted me in my silk pajamas almost nightly. I couldn’t tell if it was age catching up to me or if it was the 7-8 beers I would have a day Thursday-Saturday. Either way, I needed help, and I needed it fast.

I’m grateful to say after being in the darkness for so long, I’m back on DailyDrive and I haven’t felt this great since I previously left. My game is, of course, a little rusty, but god damnit I can still hit that golf ball a mile. I’ve noticed there are some young pups on tour who are bringing some major game. I love the challenge and look forward to being back on top one day, adding another major championship to my already storied legacy.

If there is only one thing I can say about DailyDrive, is that it will always require you to be at your best. There is never a day that goes by where I don’t give it my all, and that goes for everything that I have accomplished in life. So, if you’re that person who slips on their shoes without tying them, untie those dirty, worn-out air forces, re-tie them, and install DailyDrive now!

A second chance at glory

When I was a boy, my dad would always make me practice golf. He wanted me to be the best. I lived the beautiful game of golf my entire childhood. I was well on my way to de-throne the GOAT, Eldrick Tont “Tiger” Woods. When I tore my pcl, mcl, and medial meniscus is a tragic inflatable slide incident, my golf career was derailed. I struggled deeply. I would yearn to be back on the course, nuking the ball 350 into the fairway, hitting pin high flops from the bunker, and sinking 40 foot putts. Just when I had hit rock bottom, my roommates showed me a new game. Daily Drive? More like “Saves Lives”. This is the greatest game I have ever played and it has truly brought me so much joy, the same joy golf brought me when I was a child. It allows me to feel like I’m back on the course doing what I love most, competing against my peers in the greatest game on earth. I would personally like to thank the creator of this game, as he is a true humanitarian.

More than a Game

When it comes to sports games on the app store, Dailydrive is second to none. Not only has the game been enjoyable, it has helped me find passion and purpose in life. I wake up every morning full of joy knowing there will be a new hole to play. Zack Joyce is the real deal, and I look forward to whatever this man does next. It's more than a game, it's more than a drive. Dailydrive is a way of life.

Generationally fun

I cannot wait to tell my great-grandkids about this game. An app that is fun for all ages. Inspiring friendly competition that keeps everyone engaged and in school. Truly a masterpiece.

Life altering

I used to never talk to my adopted brother cuz he was not cool. He happens to be on this app, and it has helped us rekindle our relationship. Friendly competition through the amazing head2head feature has brought us closer than I ever deemed to be possible. Couldn’t be happier with this game and it’s ability to create lifelong relationships. Great job Zack Joyce!

If there were more than 5 stars, I would give this game more than 5 stars. Great layout of golf holes with a challenge each day. Shoutout to the creator
