You can’t use the app unless you subscribe.

Now it’s almost all articles by subscription

It used to have some subscription only articles. That has flipped. What’s silly is that many of those are just linked from other publications that can be accessed without subscription elsewhere. I know they need to generate revenue, but at over $100 per year, I can live without their not so significant articles. I haven’t read any of those subscription articles and remain well informed through other sources. I guess their stuff isn’t that substantial. Sorry. I’m removing the app.

Response from developer

Hello Dewpah, I am terribly sorry to hear the experience you’re having with our current app. We are working closely with our vendor to enhance the experience as we have seen and recognize that the experience is not the one that we want to be presenting to our users. We will be releasing an update soon, and hope this experience will be much better for you. If you would like to help us test out the new experience we certainly welcome you to do so. DBJ and a fresh cup of coffee

As a local Realtor of over 40 years in the Dallas area, I have grown to appreciate getting my latest local and state business news each morning from the Dallas Business Journal. I can count on fresh articles that impact real estate and the local and state economy.
It’s like a compass that provides direction. After digging in to DBJ each morning along with a fresh brewed cup of coffee, I know how to advise my Clients in a beneficial way!

Not ready for prime time

Generally an inferior version to the previous app. Issues are very slow to load, some seem to be missing.

Looks like a bad beta version of a test app. If I could rate this at less than one star, I would.

Content is good, UI is weak

I enjoy reading the Dallas Business Journal, but the UI is really clunky on the iPad. I realize this app was designed for the iPhone, but it's not hard accommodate both platforms in this day and age.
