FAQ

What is Turkish Checkers (Dama)?

Turkish Checkers, also known as Dama, is a strategic board game played on an 8x8 grid. Each player starts with 16 pieces, and the objective is to capture all of your opponent's pieces or leave them unable to make a move.

How do pieces move and capture in Dama?

Men can move forward or sideways one square and capture by jumping over an opponent's piece. Kings can move any number of squares forwards or sideways, capturing by jumping over an opponent's piece to any vacant square beyond it.

Are there special rules for capturing?

Yes, players must continue jumping as long as possible. If there are multiple capture options, the player must choose the one that captures the maximum number of opponent pieces. Captured pieces are removed before continuing jumps, potentially opening new capture opportunities.

What happens when a piece reaches the back row?

When a man reaches the back row, it is promoted to a king at the end of the move. Kings have enhanced movement and capturing abilities, allowing them to move and capture over longer distances.

Is this game free to play?

The application is free to download and play. It offers in-app purchases, which may provide additional content or features for players who wish to enhance their experience.
