Horrible connectivity
I bought this Danby AC unit from Costco 6 months ago and have yet to be able to use this app properly. It will not recognize its own product and pair it on the correct network. Do yourself a favour after a quick google search there is a third party app called MSmarthome and it took quite literally 30 seconds to pair the ac unit and the functions work. I would expect better from the manufacturer to have a functioning compatible app

Useless App
People have been saying this for years. It’s even said in these reviews. Brand new AC purchased from Best Buy. The unit does have a pairing mode.
Works great for portable AC
Was easy to setup using instructions in the manual. You need to specifically select 2.4Ghz wifi network. (Perhaps have to dig into the router settings to see if you have 5Ghz or 2.4Ghz).Best feature is the timer in the app. It can be used just like an alarm on your phone. Multiple timers can be set to turn ON or Turn Off the ac. Timers can be repeated on any day of the week (just like setting up multiple alarms on an iphone).

This app will not work with your Danby air. Use the Midea Air app instead-parent company.

Couldn’t get my Danby portable ac unit to setup on this app. After spending half an hour resetting, reinstalling and trying every fix imaginable, I downloaded the midea air app which detected my unit instantly. I’m not affiliated with them, but I don’t see any reason to waste your time with this outdated app.

No blinking
Unfortunately my Danby portable air conditioner wouldn’t start blinking no matter how many times or ways I tried to reset it, so this app doesn’t work for me.
Terrible App
Won’t connect, instructions are terrible. Danby AC unit itself works good. Wouldn’t find the unit as nothing came up with Danby_AC_. I then saw the device net_AC… and did a search and found out it was the Danby with a password of 12345678. Went through all the instructions again, still unable to connect. Gave up after a dozen attempts.

Dehumidifier does not show up as wifi ap
Bought a danby dehumidifier and it doesn't work with this app because it won't start up in ap mode.
It doesn’t work
Despite the advertising, Danby has not actually furnished a functioning smart AC unit. This is because there is no support on the back end. This app has been abandoned. The instructions on the app do not align with the nature of Danny’s products (calling for a reset button when there is none on my model).
Even when working through the counter-intuitive process, it still doesn’t work and I get a fail notification.

Portable air conditioner will not connect. I ended up using the Midea app which actually worked and allowed me to connect.

If you are having issues with this app, search the App Store and download the one called “Danby”. It work for me with a portable AC unit.
Garbage
This app is garbage. The old app “Net Home Plus”, was already a piece of crap that would frequently lose the connection. Thought this new app would work better, but I can’t even connect and now the old app won’t work either. Trash. Utter trash. More like “stupid home” than “smart home.” I will avoid Danby products in the future because of this awful experience.

Just terrible. The setup reminds me of setting the recording timer on a VCR from 1995.

Good app but no Siri shortcut support
App works fine and smooth, automations and schedules work good also but no support for shortcuts app please add ASAP.
