Really wanted to like this app, but…
Advertised as comprehensive app that is essential to the operation of a really neat compact system for measuring BGC with meter that plugs into the phone. That seems to work fine. 👍🏻
Most important, the app has some glitches and oddities that make it difficult to use.
There appears to be little to no support for the app. Phone calls to the helpline lead only to a voice email that promises a return call within 3 business days. 10 days later: no call. Emails to support yield a case number with a promise of support but, again, no call back.
There are some odd quirks in the app. Such as you can only add medications or note that they were taken under My Reminders. But you have to choose “add reminder” to get it to show reminders already added. 🧐
The list of exercises available to log is long and would be helpful to many. But there is only one app that syncs with Dario (Runkeeper), and that needs to be set up in something called “exercise profile”. I could not locate “exercise profile” anywhere in the settings or my profile. 🤷♀️

Not working.
I’ve tried to take a blood reading two days in a row. The device isn’t working. I left a message with the company. It says they will respond w/i three days. Let’s see what happens.
Customer for 8 years
I have been a longtime customer, using Dario for both BS/BP monitoring and have recommended Dario to a lot of people. However, in the last several months the app stopped syncing my BP and I have to enter them manually. Additionally, the exporting process for reports stopped working. I have reached out to the company, who I used to be able to speak with someone when I called or received a return email immediately, now you have to leave a message and I have received no assistance. I am greatly frustrated and disappointed. I used to love this company and now I am considering moving elsewhere. This makes me very sad.

This is just a shame this app doesn’t do what it advertised. Good luck accepting terms and conditions you will need to reinstall the app then once you do you can’t get back in the app. It says you logged in but the app never does it keeps spinning and not do anything. Im currently unable to log in. Fix this app if you want to charge a premium for your strips.

Doesn’t work since update
The app was working fine, but an update to the privacy settings now causes the app to hang. 10+ minutes and the wheel keeps spinning. Unable to find support
I can’t even accept the terms and conditions
So every time I try and use the app it will make me try to accept the terms and conditions and then I proceed to click the check box them continue except it doesn’t continue it stays on the same screen wanting me to press it again and again and again until I give up, I have forced closed the app, I’ve restarted my phone I have completely deleted and downloaded the app again and still it won’t let me accept it.

Great hardware paired with awful app design
The meter itself is great - when my current meter’s strips were no longer covered on my plan, I looked to get a new meter that didn’t require batteries and was easy to take on trips. Dario fit the bill and really is a great form factor. A minor gripe is that the test strip canister can be pretty tough to pull out once it’s in, but I’d rather have that than let it be too loose.
However, the problem I have is with the software. It does what it needs to do - take meter readings and track them in the logbook - but it is incredibly clunky. Every time you start it shows a loading screen that makes it take 5 seconds to get to the main page. Everything has motion to it, so if you press something you have to wait for whatever animation to finish to move on to the next thing. Trying to add a manual reading is incredibly frustrating because I have to wait for the page to animate in for 3 seconds. It also has a timer to let you know when your test strips have expired. However it doesn’t show up immediately when I start the app - it usually takes 20 seconds before I can see it and validate my test strips are still good or to just reset it because I opened a new pack. Additionally, when saving meter readings, there is no immediate feedback that the button was pressed - the screen does nothing. Then, a few seconds later, it will return to the main screen. A lot of times I press the save button multiple times because I don’t know if it worked or not.
On top of all of this there are complete sections of the app that are just ads to purchase some extra services that I can’t just disable or hide.
Yes, this is nitpicky. However it just makes using this great hardware incredibly disappointing. I do hope they revisit the app through the lens of someone who is trying to take their blood sugar quickly and efficiently and just wants to get on with their day. Ideally, I plug the meter in, it prompts me to take my glucose, and then I’m done. I don’t want to wait for animations and I want to get button input feedback immediately.

Horrible
Very underdeveloped app. Immediately had me create an account then say my password was wrong. Sent a forgot email password to me email, said it wasn’t valid. Now I couldn’t make an account or login. I’ve never encountered such an inconvenient app.
Worst customer service
There’s no one when you call, I also open a case online that has been sitting for more than two weeks unsolved
This company is a scam
I’ve been fighting since December to get my refund for $212 when they failed to send me test strips. They don’t respond to emails. You call and leave a message and they tell you they will return your calls in 3 days but they don’t return phone calls. You message them on social media and same silence. I would not recommend anyone send money to this company. They turn into a scam

I bought the usb-c Dario hopping that it would use it with my iPhone 16. But is does not work.

Love the easy refill of test strips and the ease of use when testing but until the app is fixed it’s not compatible with iOS 26.2 making it basically useless. Especially when accessing weekly summaries and the sharing data with your doctor.
