Probably one of the best apps to read berserk on too bad it’s gone.

I paid a premium price compared to Amazon or Apple to purchase work directly from Dark Horse.
Now their digital service is discontinued with no way provided to permanently download purchases to my machine. On their website they have the gall to claim that this is OK because we never owned these books. Truly shameless.

I was a nerd and college the geek type🤓👆. I had just gotten a swirly from Timmy tuff knuckles when all of a sudden i got a call from my favorite bully saying that he burned all my Naruto x sakura fan fics. I was devestated and wanted to end it all when dark horse came along it got me out of dark times. Now i can upload stuff and read stuff thanks Dark horse

Shutdown & no way to download
I bought comics from these scammers. I can read them in this app as long as it runs, but that’s it. Can’t complete the series. Can’t download. Stay away.
Why is it shutting down?
I love this app and don’t see a reason it can’t stay up

I am a more recent subscriber and and, contrary to some reviews, I have been perfectly happy with the app. Aside from the rare UI design issues, I have been impressed and happy.
This is my favorite comic reader, and Dark Horse really are more of the comic book lovers company and seem to have as much enthusiasm about their comics as readers do. Because of that, they have some nice features like being able to buy and manage full digital copies.
And I haven't bought that many cause I'm kind of poor but did we not buy enough? Were we not loud enough in support? I really hope you guys come out with a digital storefront again, as much as I like buying physical copies, so much of the future of print is either digital, or digital supported, or physical-print supported digital.
Anyways, I love you guys, I hope you guys can figure out a way to come back to digital at some point.

Bad business practice/anti consumer
Revoking everyone’s licenses to products they paid hard earned money for and shutting down
Thousands of dollars lost
Don’t understand why you can’t keep the servers going for your loyal customers. Bought almost everything you sold, can only download it to my device, not to a PC, don’t have nearly the space on my device to download even half of my purchases. So I’m just screwed out of content I paid for. I can access about a third of my purchases until this device dies, then even that is gone forever.

…by default. Comixology has sunk. The Dark Horse app is far superior now. Their content is always excellent. UPDATE: The Dark Horse Digital storefront is no more as of 2/24/2025. Now we have to go through other apps & storefronts to buy their comics. I feel like I want to rant on and on like when Amazon killed Comixology. Corporate mergers are inherently evil, fueled by greed. I enthusiastically rated this app 5 stars before. Now I don’t know how to rate it after this bad news. I just downloaded all my DH comics and hope I will be able to read them all for as long as I choose to…

Good times, but now I’m sad
I love the app but I’m sad to see it go. I really don’t want to lose all of my purchases. I’m super sad, but glad that it happened.
Total waste
Shutting down app which results in all orders no longer being able to be read. Stealing money, least they can do is offer a refund or keep the app up with the store disabled

End of lifed app and losing access to comics
I have spent hundreds or possibly thousands of dollars through this app. Dark Horse is removing all access to the comics purchased during summer 2025 with 0 compensation.

Could Be Better
Primarily use this app for The High Republic Adventures comic. Hate that there’s only pinch to zoom and no single panel swipe to view.

I love the app I’m reading berserk and I finally found a place to read it I’ve wanted to for so long it’s really easy to use and for buying the books it’s pretty cheap compared to a physical copy
No way to add stuff to a list.
With the amount of data this is collecting it should be able to do that.
Year 2000 & App
Created an account due to CyberPunk 2077 purchase. In 2024 the website and app functions like it’s the year 2000 and as a result doesn’t support any kind of 2FA which in 2024 should be mandatory.
