Great but imperfect
Noir was what I started using with Safari on iOS but there are websites it doesn’t work on. Since Firefox with Dark Reader is my primary configuration on desktop computers, it made sense to try their iOS app.
I found that most of the websites that don’t work in Noir work in Dark Reader, and most of the sites that don’t work in Dark Reader work in Noir, so instead of switching I now have Dark Reader turned on by default and Noir turned off by default, and when I encounter a website that doesn’t darken, I switch by making an exception for it in both extensions.
Ideally one would be able to handle every website but nothing is ever that simple. Very few websites slip through both, so I’m pretty content with the setup.

Great… on Firefox
The extension worked great on Firefox, so great that I bought the extension for Safari. And nothing works, when it works you can barely customise it and it will stop working as soon as you open a new tab anyways. What a waste of money

Funktioniert fast überall und ohne Nachdenken. Auf dem iPhone, auf dem iPad und auch auf dem Macbook. Ich halte den Preis für gerechtfertigt. It mir lieber, als mit Werbung “bepestet” zu werden.
Excellent Software!
This software was well worth the price. I have not had any problems with this software working with the Safari Browser. There are many setting if you want to adjust the Dark Mode. I love the default setting: “Detect Dark Theme. Site’s Theme Will Not Be Overridden.” This setting can be changed also. I Highly Recommend Dark Reader for Safari.

It Works in 2026
Wanted to write a recent review. So I started uni and I use the same laptop I do for work. I use chrome for work and safari for school. No matter what site, even custom sites for school, it just works so well. Theres no awkward whites anywhere, besides images that aren’t a png. Thanks. Price is bit high, but so far it just works

DO NOT LISTEN TO THE BAD REVIEWS
This extension has saved me a lot of eye strain over the years, I donated money to them when using it on other platforms and I’m proud to support them here as well. People complaining about 5 bucks? Are you kidding me? I rather pay that amount instead of a consult to an eye doctor, that’s for sure. So please, support these guys as this is hands down the best dark mode extension on the whole internet, a lot of time and effort was put into it and again 5 bucks ain’t going to bankrupt your account.

Für mich zählt die App zu den Essentials auf iOS und MacOS. Nutze sie seit Jahren und sie ist jeden Cent wert.
Crashes Browser
Great functionality, great darkness. However, this continually causes my safari browser to crash on my iPhone making my browser completely useless. The only solution to this was disabling dark reader. I would not recommend buying.

Bonne application, elle fait ce quelle propose, mais 6€ pour ça faut pas abusé, sachant que c’est gratuit sur Chrome, certes, poster un application coute de l’argent, mais pas 6€, 2,99€ semble plus raisonnable, n’acheter que si c’est une obligation, sinon prenez autre chose
Fix it devs
Randomly activates a weird non-dynamic mode, even when the site is set to off, or even extension to off sometimes. Please Fix!

I've used Dark Reader for years on Firefox, and it's a very reliable extension. Very rarely do find websites where the color pallet swaps make it unreadable. And when it does, I can just turn off the extension for a second, get what i need, and flip it back on. Though I haven't spent very long on the Safari version, I believe that will carry over to this version as well. (I will update my review if it turns out otherwise.)

Beautiful
That’s honestly the best way to describe this app. It does exactly what it promises, which is the only reason I paid for it. I’m tired of hunting for dark mode on every website when my computer is already set to it.
I love that the sites I visit are automatically in dark mode. Bright white backgrounds absolutely wreck my eyes, and this app completely fixes that problem.

Used to be great but no longer works an unmaintained
I used to really like dark reader but sadly it doesn’t work on Safari any longer. Chrome still supported but the Safari one can no longer differentiate between any of the webpages. Simply thinks every site is “Google”. I’ve contacted the Dark Reader support team and they do not respond so I assume they are no longer supporting this plugin.

Essential for Eyeballs
I originally got Dark Reader on my computer and I love the functionality. Rarely a website is designed such that I can’t see everything properly in dark mode and it’s so easy to switch modes for that website only, and it has saved me so much eye strain and headache! I was so excited when I saw they have an app for Safari too, instant download. I recommend it to everyone!

Enfin une app qui fonctionne
Entre les applications gratuites qui fonctionnent à moitié, et les autres payantes à prix exagérés avec abonnement, je devenais dingue.
Avec les applications gratuites, j’avais des bizarreries d’affichage, et certains sites restaient blanc (Le Bon Coin par exemple).
Et les applications avec abonnement, je les boycotte systématiquement.
Dark Reader fonctionne efficacement sur tous les sites que je visite, c’est net et propre, et sans abonnement, et ça, ça mérite d’être souligné.
Un grand merci aux développeurs.
