There are so many missing little things that just end up being a showstopper for me. For instance there is no “smart” mask or even a color picker to get you to your selection quicker. For the money, it honestly isn’t much more than what is included in the phone natively.

I can’t export 99% of my photos RAW without it crashing. I’ve never have experienced this before.
I just bought it. And i have enough memory on my phone. Its updated. I’ve tried every export format. This app is 🚮🗑️ str8 trash and i want a full refund. . .

Doesn’t work…
I thought I finally found an easy to use app to create masks to edit photos. It worked for about 2 seconds, then just completely quit adjusting anything. The sliders worked, the loading and unloading pics worked, but when I loaded a photo, created a mask, then moved the sliders, no adjustments were being made to the photo…. No matter what I tried.

Took me a while to find it didn’t work with Sony RAW compressed files, so needing to shoot uncompressed from now on. Luckily I don’t need to reshoot too much. Other than that seems good now.
Amazing image editing software - greatly simplified!
I was so inspired by this app that I wrote the company. They are so on top of their product, they responded to me. This is what I wrote:
I LOVE your Darkroom app!!! It’s one of my 2 favorite apps, period. That includes all categories. (My other favorites Paprika3, essentially a highly functional cookbook app). These 2 apps just do so many things very well, they make themselves absolutely essential for your daily chores.
Obviously Darkroom is a bit of a Lightroom clone. Even the name is a tongue in cheek confession - and a clever one! Darkroom does pretty much everything a normal human would want to do in photo processing, except compared to Lightroom, your app makes the huge variety of editing tools much easier to use. And that is my primary compliment to your app: it is extremely easy to use, even using very powerful editing tools. Lightroom, on the other hand, is one of the most complicated and not intuitive programs on earth.
So thank you for developing such excellent software!

Useless
Constantly crashes for me when exporting images with borders. All my
other apps work fine.
Edit: After a new update I can’t even choose different border types and/or change the amount of inset. I can just about see the options but I can’t click them 👎

Not working
I have been using Darkroom for years and loving it. All of a sudden all my recently edited photos are grayed out with an x in the corner and cannot be batch saved. Tried deleting app and reinstalling and it made me sign up for a new subscription. Still not working.
an alternative to overpriced editing software
i really like the user interface however the app seems prone to freezing and occasionally crashing on my 13” m5 chip iPad

Sometimes my masking gets misplaced like it’s lagging which is confusing and frustrating but most importantly after a while you can lose your progress and the app just crashes and I can’t even use it which is sad bc I loved this app for its helpful tools

Tried downloading, but it needs MacOS 15.4 or later, so the app store let me download an older version, I guess from 2022 judging by the copyright date.
So no idea how different it is to the current version, but this version is utterly useless because it will only let me use it from the Photo Library. I want to direct it to a folder that I upload my camera photos to. The Photo Library is for junk I take with my phone.
Guessing that this is more for people who want to edit their phone photos, so I wouldn't call this "Pro" software or even "Hobbyist Photographer" software. :/

If you enjoy wasting money on nonsense here ya go
App is genuinely useless, it allows for metadata adjustments *so does the native photos app* and other useless tools. No touch up, not a brush to be found.

Still my best jpg editor for iPhone and iPad usage. For RAW it’s DXO.
Has Issues But Not Adobe
Has some annoying bugs, no white balance picker, etc…but its not Adobe so…
Uneditable
I had complained about the Darkroom app not allowing me to edit photos because it kept reverting back to the first photo on my photos folder. This was fixed after an update but now it’s back to the same issue. Not worth paying any amount if it keeps doing this every few weeks. Hope you fix this problem soon (this problem only happens on my Mac).

Can only save so many exports per day?
I have a legacy subscription of some sort; having paid for the app in a prior version previously. Now after around 5 exports per day the app locks out the export functionality and attempts to force me to pay for a higher tier of subscription? Fantastic app - but this is very frustrating and feels slightly egregious.

課金して使っています。最近、マスクを追加してサイズを変更しようとすると設定が全てリセットされるというバグが発生しています。取り消しで戻し、再度試行することで上手くいくことがありますが、スムーズに編集を行いたいので改善してくださると嬉しく思います。
Nag screens
I understand it’s frustrating when one-time purchase customers are happy with the old feature set and don’t want to get the subscription, but putting up a nag screen every other time I do an export is the wrong way to handle it.
