DASH To TEN User Reviews

Good concept, overpriced with limited info

Unlike another reviewer I did get a week free with this app although I didn’t expect it. I love the idea of tracking servings and behaviors to reach a goal, but this app is not worth $10 a month. (DashDietTracker looks better for only 99 cents total!)
* Almost no information on serving sizes except for a bare-bones 2-day meal plan and a single link to NIH guidelines.
* No way to return to previous day to make corrections.
* No ability to track 1/2 portions or to customize plan.
* No tracking options for sodium.
Overall this is easy to use and helpful, but very limited and way overpriced. It could be improved! Thank you for the free week.

Not that helpful

Unable to set daily calorie goal-one size fits all is not at all useful.

Response from developer

DASH To TEN doesn't focus on calorie counting. Instead the app is meant for users to focus on nutrition and the quality of your diet. The DASH Diet is clinically proven to help people lower blood pressure, moderate blood sugar and lose weight by focusing on eating more fruits, vegetables & whole grains and less refined grains. This can't be done by calorie-counting. Each user's profile and serving recommendations on DASH To TEN is personalized based on their BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate), age, gender & activity level.

Fun and easy to use

I like this app— it’s intuitive and accurate. It’s based on strong evidence from DASH as a healthy lifestyle, not a diet. Try it for a week and you will start to see a difference in how you feel; eventually, following DASH with this app, you should notice how your health will improve. A must if you have high blood pressure (hypertension)!
