Dope Markdown App with Developer-focused features!

Great app at a great price. I really appreciate the code and developer & coding-focused features. One feature request would be to have an easy way in the UI to highlight text and turn it into a “code block” or just in-line “code” style. The iCloud sync between iPad/iPhone/Mac works brilliantly almost instantly and I highly recommend getting both the Mac version and the iOS/iPad version. I also think maybe a “developer mode” in the settings could be a cool idea so that developer features can be featured prominently for developers while non-developers can disable them in the settings to get them out of the way with one toggle. Overall, I highly recommend this app, very underrated.

Response from developer

Thank you so much for this wonderful review – it made our day! We're really glad the iCloud sync between your Mac, iPhone and iPad works so well for you. Both of your ideas are now in DashNote 1.5: • Code formatting: the Markdown editor has a new formatting bar with Bold, Italic, Code and Headings – above the keyboard on iPhone and iPad, and with ⌘B, ⌘I, ⌘E and ⌘⇧H on Mac. Select text and tap Code: a single line becomes inline code, several lines become a code block. • Developer mode: turn it on in Settings and Code notes, Markdown and developer templates move to the front. Everyone else keeps simpler menus, exactly as you suggested. While we were at it, we added Swift highlighting, a manual language choice for code notes (synced via iCloud), easy indenting with ⌘] / ⌘[ and Tab, a keyboard bar with brackets and symbols on iOS, and new Project notes and Technical decision templates. Thanks again for the thoughtful feedback – it shaped this whole update. If you have more ideas, we'd love to hear them!
