I just bought Day Diary.
The editor has absolutely NO even simple features that I could find.
I could not select a different date for date, for example.
I feel I have wasted three dollars

I'm sorry you don't find it useful. An update was released recently that allows you to change the date (the title of the entry screen is a date dropdown). If you still don't find that the app meets your needs, please contact Apple and they can issue you a refund.
