Needs a Watch Timer

The watch app is helpful only for seeing information. It needs a timer on the watch itself so that a phone is not necessary to have nearby.

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback! I’ll add a watch sunlight timer to the roadmap for an upcoming release.

Simple and works.

Great app no complaints. Just works the way it should. Great job devs.

希望增加支持中文

I really love this app! If it could support Simplified Chinese, it would greatly enhance the user experience for Chinese users. I'd also actively recommend it to friends and communities, helping the app tap into the huge potential of the Chinese market.

Easily Track Time in Daylight on Apple Watch

I love how last year I discovered that Apple Watch automatically tracks time and daylight. It had been tracking for at least eight months! Daylight goals is really helpful because I can see it as a complication on my wrist and reach for my goal of getting outside more. It’s also cool to see what daylight will be ahead with the forecast.

Glad you like it! The app has some major improvements coming to both daylight tracking and weather coming in the next few months!

Awesome sunlight tracker

I’ve been looking to increase my vitamin D intake, and this app hits the spot. I’ve got an Apple Watch and it records how long I spend outside, and I get a notification when I hit my goal. The new sunrise and sunset times are nice to have as well. It’d be great if I could get a reminder if I haven’t hit my goal for the day, but there is still daylight left.

Glad you like the app! I am looking into adding new reminder types for the next major release, which will also include a main app UI overhaul and some new weather based features.

Good!

Not sure how this isn’t rated higher, does what I need it to do (tracking daylight). Love how you can input your own data in case Apple’s hardware doesn’t detect time outside 🙌 thanks dev

No real-time tracking

It’s functional and pretty bare-bones. There’s quite a lag updating how many minutes you’ve spent in daylight— I wanted to check how long I was outside in real time, but due to lag it didn’t update until I came inside and opened the app to refresh again. Downloaded it for the watch widget, but that also lags; the number on the widget won’t change in real time until you click on it to reopen the app and refresh. Makes actual tracking difficult; this is more of a daylight “review” than tracker.

Works as expected

App enables a widget / feature Apple should have natively built in. Glad someone made it since Apple didn’t :). My only ask would be that they allowed different goals on weekends vs weekdays. I usually spend 3hrs outside on weekends and only an hour on weekdays.

App not working

App does not record daylight hours. They remain at Zero for everyday since installation now the 5th day. Zero hours on both Apple Watch and iphone
All other aspects are correct. Notifications are enabled. Location loaded. Sunrise & sunset times showing correctly, just mot recording my daylight hours which are considerable per day
Please advise

Cannot be used without Apple Watch

Not until you pay the $4.99 then it lets you know that the whole app doesn’t work automatically without an Apple Watch

Response from developer

Hi, I’m sorry you had an issue! If you’d like a refund you can request it directly from the App Store and they should take care of you, unfortunately us small independent developers aren’t given a way to provide refunds directly to customers. The app does say it needs an Apple Watch in the first line of the App Store description, along with the second screen of the app itself, right after the welcome screen. You also don’t even have to pay to try it out and see if it works for you, the pro upgrade unlocks extra features.

Beautiful and Simple App

Exactly what I was looking for! A simple and well designed watch app to make sure I’m getting enough sun each day. Highly recommend!!
