This is a terrible app
Always has errors and other incompatiblities
Terrible
This is not a very good app. First of all, whenever I get a notification, click on it, and open the app, it says, “the message you opened was for a different user or account.” Like, no??? Why did I get the notification if it’s not for me? Second, it makes you sign in every single day which takes forever, meaning it takes at least 3 minutes just to check your schedule. Not to mention that I can’t even find half the features, like attendance (not sure if that’s just an error on my part). So, overall, I do not recommend this app. It’s better to just use the desktop version.

It just doesn’t work
if you get the app when you click on it it redirects to the website and make you search for your school then sign in then on the website there are pop ups every where telling you to get the app and even when you click stay signed in it automatically signs you out. it takes over three minutes just to check your schedule and i need my tech nerd friend to do most stuff on there for me; im not even an old person who can’t work basic stuff on a phone I’m a student using this app

It is not okay
My teachers don’t mark me when I am at class
Needs a big update to be useful for teachers on IOS
I am trying to get feedback on assessment tasks using comments which will already loaded into Daymap, but it will not recognise that I have selected text on the screen and so I cannot add any comments. Completely useless. I have tried using the Daymap app on my iPad as well as through two different browsers, Chrome and Edge. Teachers need functionality, Daymap. I have too much marking to waste time with bad software.

Absolutely ruined my school
My school transitioned from a former timetable software to Daymap and even though it has been over a year since transitioning, it is still one of the buggiest and poorly designed softwares I have ever used. My page constantly does not load even if I have full internet and bugs out when i’m trying to access class notes. The app itself is appalling with several functions that are available on desktop being inaccessible on mobile. Not to mention several teachers at my high school are constantly losing their class notes and assignments, or students who have been marked present glitch to “skipping a lesson”, causing issues with absences. I really think that the Daymap team seriously need to look at their software and make beneficial changes to all the schools that constantly suffer.

Buggy- more issues than perks
The app has basic features but often pops up with errors. When in messages it often shows older messages first until you click read/unread. If you click on a calendar entry you don’t get information, just the date (which you can already see on the main feed). The back button isn’t accessible on iPhone 14. You have to click a different tab to get back to home page. If you click on a message notification it takes you to the message feed, but not to the most recent message.

Daymap is rubbish
What a horrible app, difficult to navigate, limited functionality for searching, filtering, or easily accessing information. Doesn’t show all the information parents need and does show a whole lot of irrelevant information for every year level.
Can’t navigate app
Unable to navigate app as the back button and navigation are hidden behind the top of the screen (iPhone 14 Pro). Emailed support and they told me to take the issue up with the school. Surely not the schools problem to fix?
Review ig
LMAO I CAN LAUGH AT MY ART TEACHER FOR MARKING ME PRESENT WHEN IM AT HOME LMAO
Buggy and lacks features
This app is so disappointing as a parent user. It’s not intuitive, it’s buggy, and it lacks many of the features of the desktop version. I currently can’t see school bulletins in the app, even though they’re in the desktop version. I can’t get push notifications, even though they’re enabled in iPhone settings. When you’re viewing individual Assessments, hitting the back arrow takes you out of the assessment section and back to Events, so you have to select Assessments tab again to see the next assignment.

As a student simple review :p
It’s a bit buggy but it works. Shows the stuff it needs, I have my schedule and everything, I’m honestly used to SEQUTA more, but this works as well .

Great app, easy to use as parent
Daymap has a wonderful and informative parent portal. Great to use as an app.
Love it
Daymap helps out a lot when I’m in class I just have to go onto my laptop and check Daymap I stay logged in on the mobile app. I love Daymap.
Doesn’t load!!
This app is laid out stupidly! Nothing loads, the quality is bad and I’m connected to the internet with 4 bars! It won’t load and the messages won’t send.
I don’t like school
it is hard to use and it is not good
Zero Stars
This app is stuck in the dark ages. It is one of the most dysfunctional and clunky school information portals I have ever had to use. Reading all the reviews validated my opinion and gave me a chuckle because if you didn’t laugh you would curl up in the foetal position and rock forever more after using it!!

Poor app design. Inconvenient to use.
As a parent using this app, it’s a very poor design for a critical communication tool with the school.
In using the messaging feature it quite often “hides” the “New message” button by scrolling it off the screen. When trying to drag it back down to press the button it snaps back off the screen.
The display layout doesn’t respect text properly with details like student id or “code” overwriting group details.
Feel this entire app is an afterthought to tick a box for schools when purchasing an SMS. With mobile being the predominant engagement tool this should be the primary development not just using a poor re-rendering of the web page.
