About
Every planner you have deleted was deleted for the same reason: it built a day that was theoretically possible and actually impossible, you fell behind by 10am, and the app started lying to you.
IT PLANS LESS THAN YOU CAN DO
Transition time between blocks. No deep work straight after a meeting. About six hours of real focus a day, maximum. Daypart's plan is deliberately shorter than your capacity, because the plans that survive contact with a Tuesday are the modest ones.
YOUR BOUNDARIES ARE WALLS
If you say no work after six, Daypart will not schedule at 18:05 and call it a stretch. It will tell you the day is full and name what should move to tomorrow. It says the work does not fit instead of compressing it — which is the only honest thing a planner can say, and the thing none of them say.
IT READS THE CALENDAR YOU ALREADY HAVE
Your real events, your real travel time, your real time zone. It plans around them rather than asking you to re-enter your life into a second system.
WHAT IT COSTS
Motion is $19 per seat per month, $12.73 annually, and meters you in credits with overage at $0.25 per 100. Its own reviews call it "the $34/month mistake."
Daypart is $9.99/month, or $79.99/year — $6.67/month, about half of Motion annual, with 128 full day plans included and no credit meter of any kind.
WHAT WE DON'T DO
• No credit overage. No credits at all — nothing here is priced in a made-up currency.
• You are never charged for a plan that fails to come back.
• No per-seat pricing. No weekly subscription.
• No trial that quietly turns into a charge. The trial is seven days, and the date it ends and the price it becomes are both on the paywall before it starts.
Planning happens against your calendar on this iPhone; the language layer is the only part that leaves it, and it never sees who you are meeting.
One of 31 Lumen apps. The price is on the screen before you spend, and a failure is free.
