Love it

I love this app. It makes putting books on hold for the kids so easy.

Edited 7/14/24- still love the app, use it almost daily to find books for myself and children. One addition that would be great is to be able to have multiple lists to to personalize to save books for later. My for later list now has 100s of books and hard to keep track.

Really dislike the update!

The more I use the updated version of app in an effort to like it, the more I find I really dislike it…on the verge of hating it! I can’t just pick a subject matter and browse all the new titles in that category. Then it only shows 5-6 books per page. Constantly have to touch the page arrow to see next set—tedious!

Response from developer

We're sorry to hear you didn't have a good experience with the new app. The easiest way to view new titles is to search for the topic you are interested in (e.g. gardening) and then tap on the filter button to limit results to ones that are new to the library, available now or to a format you are interested in (e.g. book, eBook, audiobook). We would be glad to offer assistance or answer any questions you have about the new app. Don't hesitate to contact us at the library in person or online at https://www.dbrl.org.

Good

I love this app. It’s super easy to find your books and check them out. I was always checking my email to see if my books were ready.

Response from developer

Thank you for the feedback and we're glad to hear that you are liking the new app!

yes and no

-conveniently manages simple aspects of library account

-app often crashes amidst use and will not reliably complete some tasks for account management. error most noticed when trying to edit lists after using the refine feature.

-series dvds erroneously listed as being full seasons. no option for choosing disc number or seeing if a particular disc or season is actually available

Nice app for a nice library

I'm really impressed that our library not only has an app, but a really useful and intuitive one.

You can renew books you've checked out, view a map of locations (which display the hours when tapped), and (somewhat hidden) is your library card's barcode, so you'll alway have it when you check out.

Something I wish it did (and maybe it already does this) would be to send a notification for soon-to-be-due books.

The app does a few things, and it does them well.

A dream come true

This app is easy to navigate and a dream come true. The website is nice but a little slow, unlike this amazing app. Holds are easy, as are searches. There is even a barcode for my library card if I forget mine at home so that I can quickly move through checkout. The only feature missing is a map to lead me directly to the item on the shelf. Bravo!

Great App

Works great. Putting a hold on a book in super easy.

Functional app

Not bad. Searching for titles and viewing my holds/overdue works well. Some improvements I would like to see:

- I can add things to my "For Later" shelf from the app, which is great, but I can't view that shelf in the app?
- The buttons in the interface need to be higher resolution. Really ugly dithering on my iPhone 4. Higher-res cd/book covers would be great too, but I can live without that.
- I clicked on a link to download an audiobook, but it took me to a web page that said "you can't download this book on this device." (OverDrive WMA format). Download shouldn't be an option if I can't actually download it.
