About

DCP Recorder makes it easy to record, analyze, and document Dynamic Cone Penetrometer tests in the field. Designed for roadway professionals, engineers, technicians, inspectors, and contractors, DCP Recorder replaces handwritten field notes and manual calculations with a streamlined digital workflow. RECORD FIELD TESTS Enter penetration readings and hammer blows as testing progresses. DCP Recorder organizes each measurement and automatically calculates the penetration rate. ANALYZE SUBSURFACE CONDITIONS Review penetration resistance by depth to help identify changes in material strength, pavement layers, weak subgrade, and possible soft or saturated zones. CALCULATE RESULTS DCP Recorder automatically calculates: • Dynamic Cone Penetration Index in millimeters per blow • Penetration depth and cumulative blows • Estimated California Bearing Ratio (CBR) • Layer-by-layer test results DOCUMENT EACH LOCATION Save test information, including project details, test location, date, notes, and field observations. Keep results organized for later review and comparison. CREATE CLEAR REPORTS Turn field measurements into consistent, easy-to-understand test records that can be shared with project staff, clients, and other stakeholders. DCP Recorder is useful for: • Gravel and unpaved road evaluation • Pavement base and subbase investigation • Subgrade strength assessment • Compaction verification • Soft-spot investigation • Construction quality control • Maintenance and rehabilitation planning DCP Recorder provides calculated estimates based on entered field measurements. Results should be interpreted by qualified personnel using the applicable testing standards, project requirements, and engineering judgment.
