* bugfixes * improved setup UI

User reviews

Does the thing, mostly.

Once set up, this seems to work reasonably well. I’m using it to test some functionality in Ableton Live. It sends X, Y, and Touched CCs over USB to a Mac after setting up a MIDI network, which can be a bit of a pain.

Unfortunately, the function to set the CCs does not allow changing the CCs sent — it seems locked to 21, 22, and 23. Depending on your setup, that may require additional filtering to avoid conflicts in you plug-in or instrument.

Documentation is sparse, but suggests that the CCs should able to be changed in the setup menu.

I’m using an iPhone 6s as my XY pad, and Ableton live as my DAW.

The Missing Modulation App

I’ve been wanting a modulation app like this for years. There were some options out there but nothing quite like this. You can draw in any type of movement you want on a 2D grid, change the speed, and assign a couple CC’s to the movement. Draw whatever you want, and assign a couple parameters on any app/apps inside your host or DAW. On top of that you can have the modulation play in a loop where it continuously follows the lines you drew to modulate your selected parameters over time. I’m so happy we finally have a simple way to “draw in” modulation, have it follow the drawing, and loop. I have both this free version and the paid version. Thanks for creating this app, I love it. Cheers!
