Solid distraction.

The choices are fairly limited in scope and two of the paths don’t work (Claim the child, open package.) Other than that it is a solid distraction.

Another winner from Cubus Games!

Can't wait to die again! Also, I like that it's not too long. Cubus has a ton of great apps anyway. Plus, let's face it, people always say they want a game to be 100+ hours and have more and more content, but nobody can even get through their Steam backlog these days. Sometimes shorter is better.

Nice Game but...

It's a nice game but the game was quick and easy. I finished it in about an hour and there was nothing left to the game after you completed all the deaths of the game. After playing the game, I was stuck with the need of wanting a little more. Great job on the app setup and the storyline of John Riggs!

Underwhelming CYOA story

As this was produced by the team who created the fantastic Heavy Metal Thunder and Sol Invictus, I had no hesitation in purchasing. Unfortunately this game is a fairly bland Choose Your Own Adventure novel, with numerous errors in grammar and punctuation.

While the idea of collecting the many possible deaths of the main character is novel, in practice the majority of the paths lead to the same deaths, and the writing isn't really compelling enough to make you want to replay the game so many times. Indeed, some paths are just mirror images of other paths with the name of a gang the only thing that changes.

It took less than an hour to unlock all the different endings, as I was clicking through the screens I'd already read as quickly as I could (there's no reason at all to re-read them). If the writing were better, I'd have felt the price was worth it; sadly, even at the introductory price, it wasn't.

I can't wait for the sequel to Sol Invictus and will purchase that without hesitation. But I'll certainly think twice about buying any further Choose Your Own Adventure novellas from this company.

Response from developer

Thanks for your feedback. We really appreciate it. We think you would enjoy The Frankenstein Wars while the sequel to Sol Invictus is not coming yet.
