Deals Finder User Reviews

Nothing but deals and steals daily.

I have a love/hate relationship with this app. It’s making me spend money, but saving a ton of money on everything. There’s everyday essentials and things you always wanted, but never could find at a reasonable price or just couldn’t afford. Big to small. Big name brands to Amazon brand. Plus free shipping on everything basically, if you’re a prime member. I’ve been recommending it to everyone I know since the day I got it.

Love the app

This app provides great deal ngl

Needs higher standards and more customization

Overall this app has a lot of potential, but you will get near constant notifications all day and night (luckily you can set quiet hours) for stuff that no one has any interest in purchasing; used AA batteries for example.

A large majority of the time the deals don’t seem to be legitimate any way, as the app will list a certain price, you go to the Amazon link, and it will be completely different for yourself and others. I’ve seen this in product comment sections quite a few times.

There is also the “Aura” system. I’m guessing this is supposed to encourage users to leave comments and votes on products as it earns them XP which then enters you into a monthly drawing. This is fine, but what it actually does is just encourage users to farm XP instead of leaving thoughtful comments on the products. It should encourage discussion on if a deal is worth it, if the product is of quality, if someone has experience with the item, etc. Instead, the majority of comments o see are “nice” “cool” or, in one specific example “mirror” on, you guessed it, a mirror.

I have only been on the app for about a month, but the monthly drawing for the $100 Amazon gift card may be too good to be true. Every user above the first Aura Tier will be entered into the monthly drawing when they acquire 500 Aura that month. Every user gets 1 entry, it doesn’t matter if you earn more aura. Last month, the winner of drawing was the user with the most total Aura on the app other than the Admin (there is a scoreboard for lifetime Aura points.) This for sure could be a coincidence, but it’s something to keep in mind, as it seems fishy to me.

I think it would be great if this app had product categories. A user could select their interests, like ‘tech’, ‘clothing’, ‘home improvement’, etc. and receive notifications for products in those categories while ignoring all of the other ones.

OVERALL: 2/5 for now

What needs to change:
- More thorough product review process to ensure prices are accurate and products are of a certain quality (there is lots of garbage currently)
- Reworked aura system to encourage more thoughtful user interaction
- Categories and other ways for users to customize their experience with the app
