It won’t shut down
For some reason I can’t close the app or cancel a Google request on my iPhone.

Doesn’t even let you save recordings
Despite it implying you can save recordings for free and downloading the premium is only for an ad-free experience; changing the frequency weighting; and, most importantly, auto-saving the data (Not saving recordings in general!!!)
Great decibel meter app
I play a lot of music as a hobby. Certain tracks I like to play rather loud but I am also conscious of not wanting to develop hearing loss or Tinnitus problems. Using the decibel meter app allows me to keep volume levels at safe levels on fairly long listening sessions.
Easy and reliable
I love this Decibel Meter. It’s really easy to use and gives me accurate readings of the decibels in the room.

It’s fine. It gets the job done. It’s all you’d really need. No ads but you have to record to actually here the decibel quantity. You can delete recordings though.
Says it’s free but not
In the description it says it’s free but as soon as you open the app for the first time it wants a monthly subscription… DODGY!

Each Measure Kicks You To Purchase Plan
Each time you measure a noise you are prompted to buy a plan. After several attempts to close the prompt, the app stopped working. I’m not recommending for that reason, it’s not truly free.

A good simple meter. It could so with a few more features such as ability to change weighting. I am presuming it is A-weighted, but not sure.

I downloaded the app for the first time, tried to use it, and BAM! Fullscreen ad. I couldn’t even close it so that’s an instant uninstall from me, dawg.
Right wing web site referral
Db meter immediately referred me to ‘right wing” webpage. Why is that when I just want to measure sound pressure levels. Stop!
Awful
Full page ads the moment you touch anywhere on the screen, every button you press pops up a new full page 3-10 second ad.

Ok - more good than bad
I think it’s good but I don’t know why the number of decibels is varying so fast.
Works fine and no subscription unlike competitors
Initially I was put off by a sarcastic reviewer. But, I’ve used this in environments intentionally loud ranging to feint. It works fine but it is super sensitive. So you need to factor this in.
