Still working perfectly

13 years after it’s release apparently, the app is still running greatly

So simple. Beautifully done. If only the world would adopt this standard.

Other than the sun dial, man-made devices used to measure time have always seemed somewhat arbitrary and convoluted. Why base 12? Sailors would argue because a circle is represented by 360 degrees and 12 is easily divisible by 360. But everything can be converted to metric or decimal format. So why not a base 10 decimal clock that simply divides the day up into 10 parts instead of 24?

To take it a step further, why time zones? Instead, why not a universal time where sunrise, midday, sunset and midnight are simply observed at different times, depending on your location on the earth. Star Trek seemed to imagine it with their star date system. Why not standardize on a base 10 decimal clock for real?

The only app of its kind

As of this review, only one other decimal time clock exists, but it's not a generic decimal clock. This app is.

Display is readable with default colors, and once I got used to the concentric-rings layout, a quick glance suffices.

One complaint: this tends to run about 0.5-0.8 decimal seconds behind other decimal time sources (which don't all agree perfectly with each other, either). Close enough for my purposes, but you should be aware of it.

Thanks!

FAQ

What is DeciTime?
