Deckloud 1.3.9 brings native iPad support, an optional free Deckloud Cloud workspace, and board templates. New • Native iPad layouts support portrait, landscape, resizable multitasking, the share extension, and Extra Large widgets. • Deckloud Cloud: start a free private workspace with no email, no password, and no registration form. Link up to three devices with a 10-minute code, and delete the account and its content from Settings. • Create a board from a template instead of starting empty. Fixed • Switching accounts no longer interrupts sync with an error screen. • Card creation, completion, editing, moving, and board archiving now recover when a Nextcloud server requires its alternate request route. • Assignee filters now show only the selected person or group, including when a user and group share the same identifier.

App is really vibe coded

I see some features that a real dev would think about that someone with not that much experience and an AI missed, good app overall tho.

Focus on hold to action gestures.
Current design is too generic and doesn’t work for this kind of app (generic means Claude frontend-skill uses this type of design every time it prompted)

Add widgets.

It okay to add pro features for an open source eco-system but actually make it worth it (ex: live dictation with an ai that creates all the decks and items automatically) not just an alarm feature which I can easily go without

Thanks for the direct feedback. The long-press actions and parts of the interface need more deliberate work. Widgets are already available from the iOS widget gallery, including a free small widget, so I need to make them easier to find. Pro also includes Quick Capture, repeat templates, Focus sessions, extra accounts, reminders, and larger widgets. I hear your point that its value must be clearer and stronger. The AI dictation idea is useful, but I will not promise it before it is ready.

Great so far!

Really enjoying seeing the app develop over time. There are still a few bugs, like not being able to back out of a card after it’s been edited sometimes. But, bugs like these seem to be addressed relatively quickly.

I’m also happy to see that the core functionality remains intact and isn’t behind a premium subscription. Hoping it stays that way 🤞

Really enjoying seeing the app develop over time. One big gripe is they removed markdown rendering in the card descriptions. That’s a bit of a dealbreaker for me because I often use checklists in mine.

Dark mode needs tweaking

(I’m not using the pro version) So far, everything about the app works well. The UI is friendly and connecting to Nextcloud was actually fairly easy. I’m holding out hope for a decks app in the future, but until then this is a lovely replacement. The only downside I have is that sometimes text isn’t visible in dark mode for the homepage. So far it’s fixed itself, but I figured it was good to point out in case it’s a recurring issue.

The dark-mode contrast issues you describe are on our fix list — 1.3.5 already hardened several card-detail and board-header layouts, and remaining dark-mode text bugs are being tracked. No widget, nice app

The pro subscription says there’s a widget for this app, but there isn’t. So, besides the pro subscription this app is great. Works well, just no reason to pay when the service isn’t available.

Thanks for calling this out. Widgets are now live: refresh widget data in Settings > Widgets & Shortcuts, then add Deckloud Home or Lock Screen widgets in iOS. Free widgets show counts; Pro unlocks card titles, due times, and deep links.
