What's New in Deckset

1.0.36

September 14, 2026

Deckset’s biggest iPad update yet makes writing, presenting, and sharing more flexible. - Resize the editor and slide preview, with theme controls alongside your presentation, on iPadOS 26 and later. - Discover Broadside and Ledger themes, a redesigned theme picker, and updated font and style customization. - Create custom pause screens with Markdown, images, and video, then resume from the same slide and build step. - Include presenter notes in PDF, PNG, and JPEG exports, and fit two or four slides on each PDF page. - Create accessible PDFs with richer document structure, media descriptions, and links, and review issues before sharing. - Set different column widths, position header-only slides, and style code blocks as windows with optional titles. - Highlight Robot Framework and Terraform code, and embed media using Obsidian-style syntax with explicit file paths. - Preview presentations and themes with Quick Look in Files, and get haptic feedback for common actions on supported devices. - Open unavailable embedded videos on YouTube, follow YouTube links from PDFs, and get filename suggestions for missing images. - Fixes for formulas, styled text, lists, SVGs, image filters, and thumbnail loading.

Amazing App Do not Give up

This is an amazing app; I am a research scientist and an assistant professor who does not like to carry my heavy MacBook Pro 16 around and this makes my life ten times easier by writing technical slides for classes;

Fabulous App

I more or less just rediscovered this app. I worked with it years ago but it was still maturing then. Since that time it has become really fabulous. Protip: look for the AI Slide Builder Skill on his website and throw that into your LLM. Then you can query how to do different things. But either way, this app is perfect for quick presentations where you don’t want to spend time tweaking details in a GUI.

Deckset for Mac is great and …

… Deckset for iPad is great too!
I was very pleased with the news that a one-time payment license is now also offered for the Deckset for iPad. I did not hesitate to accept this offer. Many thanks to the developer!

So great

I’ve always loved Deckset. Such a great idea. Writing presentations in plain text is civilisation.

Why Subscription?

I have loved Deckset for Mac and wanted and iOS version so badly. I was so excited when it got released only to see that it’s a subscription. I don’t do presentations enough to justify a subscription. A one off purchase to view or practice my presentations would be amazing. I’d buy it in a heartbeat.
