About

dee jay was built around one idea: a DJ setup small enough to carry everywhere, that still behaves like a real one. Also because our differentiator is our simplicity that allow us to be the most affordable in the market. Just enough features to create dj sets, still powerful and professional without the noise of extra features that you already have on hardware. Your iPhone, a pocket-sized USB mixer, a pair of headphones. That's the whole rig. No laptop, no controller, no flight case, no streaming subscription — and no compromise on the part that matters, which is having your hands on a real mixer while you play. MADE FOR A RIG THAT FITS IN A BAG dee jay was designed with the Teenage Engineering EP-136 K.O. Sidekick in mind. The Sidekick is a beautiful little mixer with everything you need — two channels, faders, EQ, cue, effects — except a crossfader. So dee jay brings the crossfader, and sends deck A to USB channels 1-2 and deck B to channels 3-4. Each track lands on its own physical mixer channel, with its own fader, EQ, cue and effects. You mix with your hands, on hardware, the way it should feel. It works the same way with any class-compliant USB audio interface or mixer that offers four output channels. And with nothing plugged in at all, you get a normal stereo mix straight from your phone. YOUR LIBRARY, SORTED THE WAY DJS THINK Sort by BPM or by key, so the next track is a decision rather than a search. Your Music app playlists appear as their own filters, right where you need them. No streaming catalogue and no music service to subscribe to. dee jay plays the songs already on your device. ANALYSIS THAT TAKES ITS TIME Tempo and key are worked out from the whole track, on your device, not guessed from the first few seconds. A number you can trust is worth more than a number you get instantly. Key is shown in Camelot notation, so tracks that will sit together are obvious at a glance. SYNC THAT KNOWS WHEN TO REFUSE Match two tracks with one tap, and dee jay keeps them locked with corrections far too small to hear. If two tracks are too far apart in tempo to blend without sounding stretched, it tells you instead of mangling them. BUILT FOR PLAYING TO A ROOM Drag a waveform to land exactly where you want, snapped to the beat — or keep dragging and scratch it, with a haptic tick on every beat. And calls ring over your set instead of killing it. Nothing is worse than a room going quiet because someone dialled your number. PRIVATE BY DEFAULT dee jay has no servers. No accounts, no analytics, no tracking, no third-party SDKs. Your music, your library and your analysis never leave your device. There is nothing to collect, and nothing is collected.
