App is bug ridden
I consistently have issues when trying to close out of the viewer for both photos and live video feed. This is a fairly new camera system but I’ve had no issues with the old Tactacam app. Updates are warranted.

Using for construction site monitoring
I love my Defend camera. I am using it to monitor a construction project I have going on 5 hours away from where I live. It’s great. I can not only see progress, but I have peace of mind knowing that people whom can see my project are aware that I am monitoring it as well.

Nice And easy surveillance
Purchased two cameras for property monitoring the install was super simple and easy! As far as camera placements they recommend 8-10ft high I wouldn’t go any lower then 10’ ours are at 12’ up and I honestly wish I would have gone up a couple more feet. The issue is tilt on the camera only allows you to go up so much so if these are used down low i don’t think you’ll get a very good capture of the area and so if your thinking this be a nice trail camera make sure that thing is up in the air. The quality of pictures is great and has a really good range especially day time. The live feed is pretty nice but can be grainy especially if you zoom in any it gets very grainy and is almost kind of usless to be honest. To only issue I really that was a problem is that you can’t mount the solar panel separately from the mount the camera goes on it would have been nice to mount the panels if placed somewhere else Away from the camera especially if your trying to. Be inconspicuous. They give you a good awful amount of extra charging cable length so you kind of have to figure out how you want to keep it all tied up so why not have a separate mount idk.
But so far they’ve been great just like all the other cameras and services they have very easy to use and have been really trust worthy.
We will see how well they do come this winter when the snow starts flying if the panels keep them charged and if keeping snow off of them is gonna be an issue.

Same quality as my trial cameras
Bought this to keep watch on a remote property we own. Same quality product and service as the trail cameras I use. Definitely will continue to use their products for that reason.

Home Monitor
Just installed camera. It is doing great. Software seems to be responding well. Like the product.
Maybe good for a trail cam
$15 a month to have less features than a Chinese 4G camera that costs half as much. The Ubox cam is way better. This pos is literally just an overpriced trail cam that swivels (barely).
Live view
Strong signal, 100% battery, lots of storage available and live view shows black screen one day and works the next.
Need to add option!
Overall the app seems good! If I could add one thing, it would be the option to block out certain pixels areas of the screen where you don’t want it to catch motion. Example you have it pointing to an entrance but there’s a rd off in the distance that you don’t want it to catch motion every time a car comes by, just when they pull in the entrance. Being geared towards a “security camera” than this option should be available like most other security cameras. Thanks!

Extremely Useful
We use these cams at our hunting property. Placed high in trees, these are super effective at both capturing wildlife and deterring trespassers. Instant alerts in my phone allows me to capture photos, record realtime videos and if necessary, to alert the Sheriffs department. Helps us protect our ATVs and tractors from theft as well.
