Grateful
I have heard people denigrate the News Journal and certainly it isn’t the NYT’s. But I’m grateful that we still have a hometown paper as I feel it is important to keep up on local news. However, I would like more complete world news coverage. Also, I don’t seem to be able to access the editorial page so I hope someone can help me do that. And sometimes the app is quirky to navigate Iike when I’ve read it all and then it sort of won’t allow me to go back. I know this is a difficult time for journalism so please stick with it. It’s SO important. Thank you.

World news
Plenty of coverage concerning Ukraine. Very little concerning positive events, and or recent developments in Africa.
Every day
Love the read! Do it every day.
Jane’s
Very nice
Easier to read than paper paper
Nice to have a paper app that’s is better than paper. So efficient and helpful to get local and national news in one spot. I can also skip stories of little interest to me.
Bait and switch
News Journal believes that the population base of New Castle County Delaware are fools. Develops version 1 of app and it allows full access to news stories. Updated version arrives and all content is behind a $15.00 per month pay wall. This is the same amount as the print version. I did not realize that bits are as expensive as paper. The Gannet company needs to get rid of its antiquated business model and join the 21st century. In short DO NOT BUY.
Obviously Mike in Newark works for the News Journal.

Need to know the news
I was raised to read the daily newspaper. It is necessary to be well informed. News Journal does a good job.
Nice AM read
Love it online
Great paper
I enjoy reading this daily. Love the comics.
Keeps telling me to subscribe
I pay $10 mo, and about 1/2 the time, I give up and just don’t read the article. It’s a great paper, but I am paying for nothing. If I could write it off as a donation, even. Update: got better and now worse than ever, but the price has increased, so I am paying more for nothing (except aggravation). I am unsubscribing. I’d love to support local journalism, but this is not working out

Terrible
Very difficult to navigate. Almost impossible to cancel print edition using the app.
Delaware Online Review
The site is dated. The stories are several days old. The app’s performance is awful. Takes forever to load. The search feature usually misses by a mile for relevant stories. It’s a shame because I want local DE news, not a national app. Not updated frequently enough.
Love this app
Easy to access and convenient for brief reporting of the news.
must login each time.
no stay logged in button
New format is HORRIBLE!
Too bad Delaware online is controlled by USA TODAY. So many better news sources to use.
I really only use this one to read the obituaries (thank goodness I don't have to pay to see them, but soon they probably will charge for those too).

Delaware online keeps me informed and entertained
Title says it all. News, games and puzzles, commentary. It keeps me connected.
Convenient reading
The online epaper is a good option
Where are the obituaries ?

Good local coverage
I believe we need a strong press and it starts with covering local issues and governments. I believe the News Jornal has concentrated on getting better with local investigations. The only thing I don’t like is that sport scores and coverage is almost always a day late.
If I could give zero stars I would
Forced to use the new app but yet cannot access the e-newspaper. It comes up blank for me. Clicking on top stories is not my thing. I want to “turn the pages” as if I’m reading the actual paper. Please fix the e-newspaper section.
