Easy to read while I’m in the hospital
For decades I subscribed to the paper edition to read with my breakfast. It left me with mountains of paper to recycle, not fun. The app allows easy access, pinch and zoom features, color photos and an extended edition that’s almost a whole newspaper by it’s self. The app is fast and high quality.

I Love reading my D&C I never thought I could read digitally— after having the newspaper spread out on my breakfast table with my coffee.. But I no longer have paper piled up to discard..
I have discussed this with friends who like me were hesitating to switch from the print on the kitchen table to a tablet on the table .. took me a while but i no longer have ink on my hands , table or robe sleeves :)

Dilbert
I am very upset about Gannett dropping the Dilbert comic. I feel this is just another example of limiting free speech. In my opinion, one’s right to to say what they want without fear of repercussion preempts one’s contrary beliefs as long as the statement is not threatening or a call for violence. The author’s comment was not in the comic and therefore should not have been a legitimate reason to withdraw the strip.

Gives you access to the look & feel of a real paper
As cost to ride with paper delivery, and the Contant of the printed edition has shrunk, we find this a reasonable compromise. We wish there was more local reporting. Local reporting seems to have been scaled back and Local high school sports has been significantly scaled back in recent years. Duplication of national news in the national section and USA today insert has been frustrating. The web access gives us the ability to remain in touch with whatever local reporting might take place and its presentation in the appearance of the printed edition is helpful.

D&C Electronic Edition - easy to navigate
Although I still miss the paper newspaper, and the large format it provided (as opposed to my iPad’s much smaller screen), reading the paper on the D&C’s app is easy and offers the choice of seeing the stories as they were printed in the paper, or as transcripts in plain text.
Almost as good as holding the D&C in my hands!
Having a newspaper (and once upon a time TWO papers!) is a life-long habit for me. Your issues are getting smaller and smaller and not really worth your subscription prices, so specials on digital papers are a life saver! Don’t let those get out of sight, please….

Very seldom has glitches.
I can easily print out what I want, for example a puzzle.
Has editions from around the country, which I enjoy.
Has extra content which I have not explored. I think one is online puzzles.

Improving but can still use some work
I read the digital print addition. Old school, I guess. I read on an iPad Pro which is perfect for reading the paper. The biggest issue is the somewhat erratic behavior of the PDF when zooming in from the full page. The print and graphics refreshing to sharp readable form can be slow and non uniform. Most of a section will be fine, but a paragraph or two refuses to refine. Very annoying when that occurs.
Editorially, way too much space given to sports, IMO. I know some can’t get enough. Any is too much for my tastes. I am devoted to the comics section. Used to be a full two pages, now it’s one. Be warned that if the comics disappear, so does my subscription. I get better “news” reporting from the NYT and WP, so the D&C is expendable if the comics go.

Great app want better search
Love being able to look at past editions. Would like tweaking searching for specific topics across editions. Many options for how you want to view the paper.

Paging through like a paper
I have plenty of news apps I can use to search, so I appreciate having my local paper in the newspaper format. Also, I want my comic page which is inexplicably unavailable in the online version.

Blurry pages
I enjoy reading the e edition of the paper, but lately there have been several blurry pages that cannot be read in almost every issue.

Still love the morning paper at my door. But now I can easily send by text or email articles to out of town relatives.

D & C Weekend
I’ve gotten the paper all my life but the daily paper during the week kept getting smaller and smaller. We switched to weekends only and digital access all the rime. It works fine for us now!

So very pleased with your new layout where I can read not only the D&C but a host of other papers as well. What a nice feature. I especially like to look at some of the smaller town papers.
