I moved from Fairport to Charleston, SC five years ago and still subscribe. The Post & Courier newspaper in CHS is terrible, just repeats of the televised news.

I’m grateful for the D&C’s coverage of local and general news and their in-depth articles on the climate, etc. Imaging losing this news source makes me even more grateful that Rochester still has a local newspaper. I do however miss arts coverage!
Newspaper freezes up
Frequently while reading newspaper using the app, it freezes and have to come back to it later, reopen the app and continue reading. Very annoying. Requested fix from publisher many times with no response.
Garbage
Constantly have to re-enter info to confirm I am a paid subscriber. Today I am unable to get the e-edition which is the only user friendly option

Rochester D&C
Although the newspaper has “day late” news, I enjoy reading about the details and facts that are often left out of newscasts. Room for improvement is with titles for the news pieces, as they are often VERY misleading and the placement of said facts: they are at the end of the article after a very opinionated bunch of “coulds, mights…and according to…(who is rarely reputable or has done a survey of more than 300 people).

Totally annoying
I used the “Digital Print” app for years. Lately it was freezing up forcing reboot of my ipad. In frustration I deleted the app to do a reinstall. Can’t even find the digital print app on the App Store now. Got this and hate it. Thanks D&C.

D&C app is junk. Clunky. Slow. Disappointed with having subscribed.

Why not change your name from Democrats and Chronicle to NFL ONLY. We are being smothered with your repetitive “news” on football.
Hit & miss
The online version for the iPad has had multiple problems lately. E.g.: several days I could not open the USA Today section. Had to go from iPad to phone to make it work. Not fun. 12/6/25 the D&C opened at the comics page. No prior sections. ???
D&C Newspaper and app is great to have
It really is terrific to have a local paper still available in today’s world. It may not be the place you go for breaking news - there are many places to go for that - but it is great to read more in-depth stories and local news that is not time sensitive. Like openings and closings of stores and restaurants as well as investigative journalism in the local area. Plus it includes all the USA Today national news.
The app also works great in providing an e-edition of the paper that looks and behaves like the printed edition, but on your tablet.

Headlines and articles are old and repeat
Why do so many of the same article show up in the same feed and sometimes right next to each other? Not enough news? What a joke. Not sure why I pay for it.
