The functions worsened with each update.
Worked great on my 3700
Opened and less than 10sec later it found my 3700. Handles HEOS besides all the expected controls and presets. A little old UI but free and works. I do have iphone 15 pro and receiver on same network and allowed app to locate on the network when asked.

Work seamlessly with my X1700H. A bit slow but everything seem great.

Works with my 10 year old Denon AVR X2300H with WiiM, Apple TV, Verizon TV, etc. wish they would update the aesthetics of the app, needs a more modern interface. But not bad for free.
Developer please make a desktop version of this app.
I really enjoy using this app to control my Denon AH1AVR it allows me to control everything that the receiver does. I find it very intuitive with plenty of options. Multiple settings to adjust the system to sound exactly the way you want it and I’m personally running 16 speakers with this unit and for subwoofers. They really issue I really would like is I would like a desktop version because I’m not on my phone a lot. I’m on my desktop more. I am disabled and it’s more easy for me to use the desktop than the phone. So please developer if you’re reading this, please make a desktop version for my 16 inch M2, MacBook Pro!!! I’ve been waiting waiting for this company to create a version for my 16 inch M2, MacBook Pro.

How can it be this bad?
Just like the app they got rid of, this one doesn’t work well either. I’m literally connected to the receiver right now. Can even hear my typing sounds through my surround speakers, but the app can never find my receiver. How can Denon suck so bad at this???

Needs manual IP!
Should have an option to input the avr IP! The multicast and broadcast are filtered and thus the avr cannot be discovered through vpn…

I’ve gone through all Denon AVR troubleshooting steps, and I have confirmed that web browser can connect to the X4200. So basic connectivity is not an issue. It is the app (I have tried on multiple devices).
Funny, the x4200 does appear in AirPlay on the devices.

The New Interface is Rudimentary and Unimpressive
The apps finally added all the features as the physical remote and that deserves 5 stars. The new interface is rudimentary and unimpressive. It makes the old interface a world class product, which downgraded the overall rating to 3.
Change WiFi now won’t connect
Find it very clunky to use. New router and now it won’t find my AVR.
What the hell happened???
This app use to work great… i was able to use this app without a remote and fine tune my bass and everything else while listening to music. It was so good. Why the hell the app wont even work anymore??? Like it doesnt work AT ALL…… what happened????

It’s like an app from 2005. Denon should be embarrassed of this. It makes me lose confidence in the brand.

Why does it take so long to open and connect? No other app on my phone is this slow.
Improvements
Could be improved if the main screen showed the currently selected AVR. Also a dropdown control to switch AVR would be nice.

App freezes up
The app freezes up and takes a long time to e to respond to commands.
Not intuitive
If I don’t use the app weekly it takes hours to remember how to manage the receiver and zones. It shouldn’t be this hard to control two zones.
