Good journalism, terrible app updates
The newest version of the app is a marginal upgrade to the overall terrible app update. Want to search for a story? You can’t. This is probably the top functionality I’m looking for and it just doesn’t exist anymore.
The worst app for a news outlet period
This app is full of ads and clickbait. It’s bad. Really bad.

This app is three hours behind supposed to be “live”. Playing 4 pm news at 7 pm.

It’s very local you get to here about stuff like right in your neighborhood and the weather is super accurate
Almost worthless
You get the same ad-laden nightmare of their website, neither of which deliver local sports programming promised to local users. Blackmailing cable and satellite carriers into paying ridiculous fees to carry free broadcasts paid for by commercials galore isn’t enough money for Tegna, they gotta make you dig for the news articles hidden in a maze of advertising on their app, too. Not worth the bandwidth for the code.
