This game is perfect apart from...
The concept of choosing to watch an ad beside the fact of forcing you to watch the ad I’ve played this game Since I was about 6 years old and its never let me down if your into fishing and pixelated games this is for you I don have a complaint though when I purchased the 3$ pearls it didn’t transfer I have just gave 12$ with no reward please fix this other than that this is the best game ever keep up the good work

Great game but still the same issue from when it first launched
Loved this game. Remember playing it when it first came out but it still has that same issue that I had with it back in the day. The game keeps crashing out of no where. It wasn’t at first but after a while, it started crashing. Mid game when I’m fishing, it’d crash or when I’m on the treasure island cracking clams, it’d crash and i wouldn’t be able to claim the rest of my clams. It’s a great time killing game but the non stop crashes is why I rated this game 3 stars.

Highest level rod makes game crash
I enjoy playing this game but after leveling up my players to buy the beat fishing rod, the game crashes every time I equip it. I play on an iPhone X. I’ve emailed their support team and received no response after a few weeks. It’s disappointing to put that much time and effort into a game and not be able to play the higher levels.

Nice to play when waiting or killing time
The musics pretty good too, but my one gripe is that if you fill your inventory and you catch the fish you need it wont let you throw out something you don't want so you have to sell it witch is annoying if the fish is extremely rare.
Very fun but Optional Ads Aren’t Giving Rewards
I just started this game and it is really fun. However, watching ads to make money is pretty much necessary to progress. Unfortunately, the TV sets that you can catch don’t always give the 500 coins after watching a video ad. I have watched 7 so far, but only received 1x 500 coin package. Otherwise, the game is very enjoyable, but this makes it really hard to move forward.

Gee whiz... This game is... REALLY GOOD
HOLY F R I C K. But uh... in all seriousness this is actually a really good game. Great for killin’ time. Pretty relaxing, I enjoy playing it while listening to podcasts or music. And overall, it’s pretty fun overall, especially for the simple, and in my opinion smooth mechanics. Good graphics, and pretty satisfying overall. I reccomend it! 9.8/10!

Buggy Ads, easy game
This game is easy to start and actually makes you WANT to see ads. They don’t shove them in your face, either. It’s only irritating when an ad doesn’t load, but the gameplay mechanics are quick to pick up. 5 star game (surprisingly) but still enough bugs, and the BGM is fricking loud, even with the settings change (which doesn’t stay if I leave the app or close it). Would love to see how this develops in the future. Even bought a pack to support the developer! :)

Good idea, but geared towards making you watch a lot of ads
In premise the game is fun, the graphics are cute, but after a couple of hours it really bogs down. You can sell a fish for around $20, which will help you buy 25 pieces of rare bait for $600. And you might go through several of those to try to catch one rare fish you need to complete a set. If you get the option to catch that rare fish, then you have to play 2 mini games to determine if you catch it (gets easier as you upgrade your fisherman, which you can by selling sets of fish, which means you need those hard to catch fish, which is generally annoying). Of course about 10-20% of the fish you catch are ads (either 5 second ads that you need 50 of to try to catch some extra goods, or a 30 second ad for $500). So you have the option to not watch ads but you won’t really get very far. Keep in mind some of the necessary gear in the game can cost up to $100,000 and still have to be upgraded with more gold. To really play the game you will need to spend some cash and watch the same 30 second ads over and over (around 1 every 5-10 minutes of gameplay). It is easier to just buy a $5 game that you can play and enjoy, but free games are free for a reason, so enjoy those ads!!!

Ad system broken
I love this game but the broken ads for coins system makes it unbearable to play. In short you need coins to buy bait and upgrade your fishing rod in order to catch fish and level up. Every so often you are presented the “opportunity” to watch an ad for 500 coins (which is necessary as rods can cost 15,000, 25,000, and 100,000 coins!). Well unfortunately every 1 out of 2 times one of the following occurs:
- most frequently: you watch the 30 SECOND long ad and don’t get the 500 coins (10/10 on the annoying scale)
- no ad loads and you don’t get the 500 coins (less annoying as you didn’t waste 30 seconds and thousands of brain cells watching crap)
It doesn’t seem like there’s been an update for this game in months. Hopefully it’s not abandoned and they will get this constant glitch sorted out :(.

Server problems and no guides/helpful tips
The game is one of my most enjoyed games to play on iOS but every time I try to make a login for the pixona server I don’t know where to do it. Also I don’t know how to unlock the secret island but I heard I need to download another game. Some trades require in app purchases to which is really sad for example the turtle trade set requires the fishing net which is ultra rare and requires a bait only capable with pearls (aka the real money currency. None the less the game was a lot of fun.

Fishy, pixelated fun!
Love it! Nice and easy to get gold, in turn meaning that there’s lots of opportunity to get new fish. Funny and well-researched descriptions that are great incentive to keep collecting-after all, who doesn’t love a good bit of sea trivia? The 8-bit music really fits; however, if I had to nitpick, I do wish there were more songs. It’s imperative for these types of games to have good music in order for them not to get annoying.
But it’s still a great game, and I encourage you to keep going! (Please do more music though-I love the existing songs, there just need to be more of them...)

Good but could be better
The game is good. I like the interesting “fish” you can get. I have done enough trades to unlock the guy on the iceberg, which I am looking forward to seeing the goofy things you can get. And I really want to get all of the messages to tell the story of the first guy. (I’m great with names)
So what can be improved you ask? The radar for one. I have to go against the radar constantly because it is locked in on something like the angelfish when I want it to lock on to the fast food set so I can complete another set towards unlocking a character. Also, occasionally after an ad, the radar will skip to another set. It’s annoying. It would be nice to be able to select the active set. Please fix this or add another fishable feature.
Last thing is that sometimes the more expensive hooks break when I am very close but I get more leeway with a less expensive hook.

Problems.
I love this game and all but there is a few issues with it, the first one is when I had for the first time touched the option for watching an as for 5 pearls it had said I already watched for today, but I had not. Another one is the fish tank, every time I touch the collect button it says I have to connect to the internet but I already am. It still doesn’t work, and I don’t know how to remove the fish from the tank. Another one is that it takes a ridiculous amount of time and resources to find what you are looking for, with the radar, and it takes a while to get it back if you mess up. I also think that you should have the option to choose what trades you want to do at the moment.

Digital Fishing is the future
I don't know what it is about fishing in the digital medium but I love it. I got 'hooked' while playing WoW and really fell in love while playing Stardew Valley. Speaking of, if you're a fan of that absolutely beautiful system you'll fit right in. It's a bit more mobile friendly with the prompts but much the same reeling mechanic. I'm hoping to stay as f2p as possible, but am looking forward to completing my collection!

Amazing game
This game is amazing. The amount of detail in an 8 bit game is truly incredible. The reason I took off 1 star is it gets repetitive at times. I keep on getting the fish I don’t need! The radar is useful, but it took me about 30 casts to get the last item on a trade list. I also love how you can choose if you want ads. Keep up the great work devs!

Same problem as another person
I love everything about it except I had the same problem as another person. I unlocked an Eskimo looking character and he won’t appear on the world map or anything!
I love this game
I have been playing for a few weeks now, and I can't stop! It is really satisfying to get self help books and complete radar quests, while earning money. The reason that one star is missing is because of the inventory management you have to buy inventory slots with pearls, which you have to buy,or watch an ad once a day for. Other than that, i love the game!

Amazing
Today I am having my birthday cookout and I have been on my phone playing this constantly. As much as I would like to put it down, I just can’t stop playing it. This game is so easy to get into, and they don’t shove every mechanic in your face right away, making it overwhelming. This also isn’t overly-pay to win, like most games, and actually has a really cool way to incorporate ads. So much so that I willingly watch ads. I initially declined to write a review, but I figured that if one game can be so fun, and so well put-together, and get me so addicted, I might as well write a review. They deserved it. 5 Star all the way.

Fun but a tiny complaint
Fun. The game scratched the exact itch I was trying to get at. Love the character and feel of the game due to its many fine touches of humor.
I REALLY wish the game could be played in landscape mode. (Unless it can be and I’m just missing the option like a dummy)

Optional ads are GREAT!
This is the only game that implements ads well. There are no annoying pop up ads or ad banners which so many apps love to use. The ads are entirely optional, so people who want no ads can have no ads without paying money.
The only ads are rewards. Said rewards are entirely optional, meaning that the game can be played without ads or purchases.
There is a general problem with ads: some ads are greyscreens which don’t do anything. This is not a problem with the game itself, but rather with the ad companies. I would suggest having a small advertising team (maybe 1 to 2 people to start with) to choose what ads would be appropriate for the game. This would also probably fix the grey screen ad problem, as well as removing any ads that might be inappropriate or unpleasant for some people.
Overall, this game is a perfect relaxation game. It provides enough action and variety to be interesting, while still being calm enough for even the most casual players to play the game.
One more recommendation: add an optional grayscale version for colorblind people.

Response from developer
Hello! Thanks for the compliments! We apologize for the ads, and hope to filter out the ones that are not working. Unfortunately our games aren't very colorblind-friendly, but it would obviously be good to support that, especially for gameplay bits that require colour differentiation, thanks for the recommendation.
