Could be perfect but for two things
Decent diary apps are hard to come by. Many charge large subscritions but not an awful lot, while most of the free ones are too basic or full of ads. This ticks most of the boxes for me: very reasonable subscription, mobile apps and web so you can use it on all your devices, and you control the data - not the app developer or cloud provider, plus a simple clear interface that allows you to add tags, location and photos. Its plain text only - no formatting, bold. italics etc but that is fine for me. There are two big problems for me though: One is search. I keep an electronic diary so I can find things again but this has only sinple word search. So if you want to find entries containing, say Christmas Tree, it will find Christmas tree but also Christmas, Tree, Christ, Chris etc etc. This makes it pretty useless in terms of ability to find things. You can add tags and search by them as well as by date but that only gets you so far. The other issue is that there appears to be no support or development. It rarely if ever goes wrong (once or twice its been briefly unavailable online) but if you have a problem/issue you are unlikely to get any response and the Facebook page is pretty barren. I’d happily pay more for a decent search and to get rid of the feeling that it might just disappear one day. In the meantime, take regular backups!

Perfect Journal App
I love using Diaro. I find it easy, good looking and secure. I have the premium version and having the chance to open it across devices really helps and the backup is great as well. As improvements I would suggest the possibility to record audio entries as it would help for days when we don’t want to type, printing with different fonts (currently printing to PDF with a standard font), and to be able to choose where to backup it (Dropbox or google drive). As I already pay for google storage I should be able to use it to store all of my stuff.

Great backbone but unfriendly user interface
It has great features. You can tag, store in folders, have multiple entries on same day. But There is something very imperfect about its layout - It doesn’t link up tags in a manner that ensures continuity. It destroys flow between days and months.
In summary, diaro checks all the boxes of desired features but the sum of the parts has much room for improvement. If renovated, it’ll likely be the best one around!

2000 entries and going
As the title suggests, I’ve been keeping a daily diary for over 5 years and am up to about 2000 entries: Diaro has been perfect for me. Great tagging, ability to add photos, etc… couldn’t ask for more.

Useful, but missing important elements
I enjoy using this diary. I use it mainly as an annotable Calendar, which allows me to write extensively on whatever appointments or information I wish to record for that day. It is set up in a convenient way. It is easy to figure out how to add and remove elements from postings.
However, for my uses, it should open up to the current date, not just show a calendar of all dates from sometimes one month back from the current date. Also, the small calendar does not advance from one month to the next, so in June, I am still seeing half of the calendar of May. And it would be helpful to have a way to select which month to show. Rather than just scrolling and scrolling.
The main box scrolling function is useful, but it should start at the current date, not start by showing postings from August or whatever.

Best Journal Notes
This is the best diary Journal out there. I’ve been using it for over four years now. I use it as my Personal journal very simple, lovely and friendly user interface. And all my notes are stored in the cloud accessible anywhere. The subscription is affordable (mind blowing). I highly recommend it. Thank you guys keep up the good work.

Still love this app... But UI on iPhone has really bad bug
Every character I type in a diary entry causes uncontrollable scroll jumping up and down.
EVEY CHARACTER. After maybe typing a paragraph and the window becomes scrollable, every character pressed causes the whole screen to jump to a different scroll level. First up then down again. Sometimes it jumps so far you can't even see the words you're typing.

Diaro is fantastic!
I have been using Diaro for nearly ten years and I find it extremely useful. I use it to track important events, health issues and vaccinations, my pets health issues, my horse’s training progress and foot care progress. I love that I can add photos to my entries and I can sort my entries into folders. I highly recommend this software.

Best diary and journal app by far and cheap as chips.
Using tags and folders allows one to brilliantly separate different ideas, brainstorms, diary events and journaling and all can be accessed from the one page. Brilliant.

Great Simple App
Its been more than 2 years I have been using this app. And it’s good, simple and has lots of options for pic, date, feelings.
How to make it better
I have found that creating new categories is easy, but there is no way to edit them or delete them, so this need to be added to the next update.
