I played the game when it was first released….

I actually really like the game. Its a good game when it first came out i played it every day then it got took down and i was honestly kinda sad. So coming back was a fun surprise only down side if if you don’t want to have your max dice on its harder to get new companions. Which is kind of sad

Fun game, update even reset things paid for with real money

I enjoyed this game a lot and actually paid for a few things when I played it a while ago. I fell off due to lack of updates and was excited when I realized it got an update! I was okay with the progress reset until I got far enough for paid offers to pop up. I already paid for sparklesnoot. It’s incredibly scummy to try to sell it to me again! I will change this review if the game gets an option to restore purchases from the old version, but as it stands i absolutely cannot recommend a game with such scummy practices. Do better.

I love Dice Companions

One of the best dice games on mobile, hands down. Plus no pop-ups or ads unlike many in the genre. Like the best simple board games, it somehow inspires my imagination. I can imagine what kind of adventures are being represented by the rolls of the dice. A fun, relaxing game to unwind with. Highly recommend!

Really cute and fun

Makes me think of Monopoly and Neopets having a baby. I wish there was more to do with the gold and more to do with the elementals outside of going around a map. Maybe mini games in the future?

Fun and exciting

The excitement of the rolls keeps me entertained! Great game!!

Updated! Enjoyed but also seems to be abandoned

Was really excited when I saw the app was finally getting a big update. Unfortunately, this update came with my progress being completely reset. This kind of sucked, but they did give you one creature as compensation, and I did enjoy the game so playing it back through probably won’t be that bad. They changed the balance that the game used to have. It takes over a day to reach full stamina. I am rolling in gold, but don’t have anywhere near enough XP to actually consistently level anything up. Upgrade to buildings on fairly low levels take multiple days. For example, leveling the main base from level six to level seven takes four days. I’m not talking about gaining the resources. I am talking about active upgrade time for your construction worker can only upgrade one place at a time. This seems like a ridiculously long time for a simple phone app game especially since most phone games are built around being quick check-in multiple times a day. Additionally, on playing the game further it doesn’t seem like my progress needed to be reset. The only new thing. Is an upgrade system for the adventure mechanic. I can see why they have would’ve thought progress needed to be reset but since there’s new creatures hidden on every level I don’t think it would’ve been a problem to just start with my old resources and just hunt for the new critters. There are no new mini games. The majority of the games UI and infrastructure is exactly the same as it always has been. Pretty disappointing since I thought this game used to have potential..

I really enjoy this game. I think it has a lot of potential. Unfortunately, there hasn’t been any game play updates. I think the game has been abandoned.

All progress reset?

I’m glad the game was updated, but did you really have to reset all progress? It is pretty disappointing, as I had all of the characters collected before the progress reset.

Absolutely so much fun!!

I LOVE Dice Companions so much!! it’s easily one of my favorite ways to unwind. The gameplay is simple to pick up and keeps me coming back. Five stars all the way!

Levels and game features

This game is fun just wish there was more building levels already since just being stopped at 9 is disappointing and i wish there were more companions too otherwise a good game.

Beware - they will share your data

Basically all apps does this, but this game put it in your face that they will share your data with 3rd parties. Deleted.

Waiting

When will there be more updates?

Please fix this

I had this on my old Apple ID (almost all the pets collected) and had to restart with the new one but I didn’t play it on time for the beginners event since it was timed and now I can’t progress because there’s no other way to get the certificate for the house. Please don’t make me start over again 😭

Coins?

Super fun game, I love it. One thing I don’t get is that we earn coins but we cannot spend them… when do we get to spend those coins?

Good, but limited…

I was one of the people who downloaded the first version of this game (Dice Companions) before it was replaced with this version (Windfall). I like the addition of the Light element as well as several new companions (like this cat/peacock hybrid that I very much adore), but the game retains some of the issues that DC had. Firstly, the coins and items that the player character collects become useless after their house has been maxed out. There’s nothing in the store that can be purchased with coins, incentivizing real money over in-game currency. Also, there are townspeople that walk around the board who don’t really do much. I was hoping to interact with them in the updated game. You could have them offer quests to the player character in exchange for some neat rewards, such as rare eggs. Speaking of, the way eggs are encountered in this game seems tedious to me. I’m currently one companion away from completing my collection, but the missing companion can only be obtained from an egg, and one of the Water element. I’m not having any luck finding any Water eggs from the beach area where the egg usually is. It’s beginning to seem like the game decreases the chances of finding eggs with each bew companion recruited. Lastly, there needs to be an easier way to upgrade companions that are only obtained from eggs. I like that after you recruit Slynx (after completing all required tasks), you can find it in the Dark adventure area as a legendary encounter. I think the same method should be done with the egg companions rather than obtaining their eggs once in a blue moon.
The game very much needs more content and I hope the next update takes these reviews into consideration.

Fun, but Not Worth Spending Money

Like I said, this game is fun, but it’s not worth spending money on as progress grinds to a halt after about a week. I’m currently stuck trying to upgrade my house to lvl 9, but am missing a permit I can’t get because none of the trades I have available are for a permit, and I can’t refresh them at all. There’s no button to do that, and I can’t trade in an attempt to clear them all because I do not have enough Shrooms and Sand resources. Ironically enough I would get the Shrooms farm after this upgrade, but for now the only way to get them is through the Adventures, which have been incredibly difficult to land on. For some reason, either through bad luck or game design, I have more trouble landing on those two than the other three, and so I have gotten stuck. I wish there were either more Adventure spaces to avoid this problem, or the Loot spaces gave out more than 10 at a time.
Another thing I’d like to see changed is the addition of probability to the eggs. Otherwise I have no idea if the egg has a 50, 75, or 100% chance of hatching a common, and it just feels really shady considering there’s packs where you can buy eggs that have a higher chance of being a better Elemental.
Another problem is the ā€œ50%ā€ bonus that other reviewers have pointed out, that it’s more like 49% instead.
And while there’s more problems I’ve come across that I’d like to see fixed, this review has already gone on for too long.
All in all, I liked this game, but it has some major flaws that I really don’t see the developers fixing because the only thing they’ve done in the past 2 months is fix bugs.

This game is fun and cute and doesn’t force ads on you. The mc has a cute design and I love the plot concept. I gotta beg the devs to give us a storyline bcuz it feels like there’s definitely room for one šŸ’•

Please release more content

I absolutely love this game, and even though I ran out of content soon after, I don't regret having spent a few $ on this. I was looking forward to a friends list function but there is none. Please keep developing and adding more to the game!
