Poor attention to detail, no more updates, manipulative progression
As with all 111% games, it starts off easy and insanely fun- until you get stuck. Personally I’m stuck at level 170 having spent $0 in game, although i’m sure it’ll vary due to RNG. Many things are misspelt, which wouldn’t be as confusing if there wasn’t only minimal information about the dice and how they operate. Hidden stats make it impossible to tell how to better set up your map, largely leaving only range, damage, and health as the deciding factors, often rather than the abilities.
Again this is a pattern with this developer, the game becomes impossible - or at least not enjoyable - trying to make you spend money to have a better experience. If you’re better than me or an RNG god, maybe you get past 170. otherwise, 170 is about as far as you can get for free (without it feeling like a 9 to 5). lastly, as is obvious by their game lineup and update history: this game is on the highest shelf in their darkest closet. It’s clear that they have moved on, and they will no longer be supporting their community.

bugs
needs a whole bug fix update not to mention the ads literally crash the game so you don’t get any rewards for wasting your time anyway
Lot of potential
But sadly appears to be a late-life game with no developer support and some heinous bugs. Last update one year ago, leaving players with no indication of damage output and lots of questions about effects or skills:
- What, exactly, is this boss’ hit point pool?
- How much damage did my dice inflict this round?
- Why is my battle rating random?
- Are boss difficulty and dice damage output also random? Are they arbitrary?
- Why does clicking on a tower change that tower’s attack distance or my overall battle rating?
- Why do range-boosting statuses like spells change basic attack but not extend dice effects, like soul harvesting?
- Why does the Research Effect Status list display crit when literally none of the available research modifies the crit stat of any dice? At least it’s precise — “!%CRIT CHANCE: +0.00%”
- Why do Lorenzo-Dice Requests level unevenly? Rewards effectively are locked out. I maxed out spell upgrades before level 400, for example, and won’t have any more spells to upgrade until level 565. At the same time, I’ve purchased 3,400 dice and was rewarded for the first 800 of those or so with tons more rewards outstanding. Gotta get that spell first, tho.
Cute graphics and fun core gameplay. Yet developer neglect left Dice Kingdom - Tower Defense unpolished and unbalanced.

Great but needs tweaking.
I played Random Dice for a long time and loved it and I was thrilled when I saw a single player tower defense game by the same devs.
I’ll say the game is great with good art and music.
The dice are mostly copy / pasted from Random Dice but that is fine because it’s a different type of game really.
My only complaint is that there are a few difficulty spikes that kind of come out of nowhere.
If you haven’t gotten lucky and gotten very specific dice then you are forced to basically wait and save money which can take a long time if you don’t get what you need.
Also I’ve had a red dot next to notifications and the notice board will never load but that’s a minor complaint.
Lorenzo’s challenges also almost always give me the mini game challenge.
Yesterday I skipped it and got it again right after.
Anyway great game!
Maybe tune the difficulty here and there or add a few more ways to get gold.
